The mounting screw comes with the OEM rack (it covers the pre-drilled, pre tapped, hole for the missing cross bar) so all you need to do is unscrew it, put the new crossbar in place and re-tighten original screw.

I have a stock FE with 2.5K on the odometer. Best I've ever seen is 18.3 MPG under ideal conditions. Have always run with 91 CA fuel. Typical MPG is 17.

The one thing I don't like and really can't abide is the prominent branding, it's gauche, crass and in poor taste. I hate being an advertisement for anybody, especially so on my own dime... Dial back the branding to something discreet and maybe I'll consider it.

Mine came off minutes after I stuck the phone on it even though I'd cleaned the area thoroughly and let it cure a couple of days... I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this.

You can buy an extra slat now. I just got and installed mine today. They are still scarce or back ordered so I think I waited for mine about 2.5 weeks after ordering and before it shipped. I think I paid ~$70 for mine. Part number in following photo:

I use it all the time. Only annoyance is having to turn it on every time the car starts. I wish it persisted across start ups. Same with the driving mode.
