    The hybrid that can't...

This is what I'm wondering: Are the noises he heard that same thing that we all hear and have been telling ourselves is normal injector chatter? My understanding is that piston slap is a serious issue that should be fixed.

Does anyone actually get the posted 22/24 mpg?

I put silly tires on mine and drive into the mountains a lot. But let's be honest, I think it's mostly because of the silly tires.

Does anyone actually get the posted 22/24 mpg? No. No, I don't.

    Greenlane rock sliders

I paid about $1050 US delivered, I’m in Washington State. The welds are really nice. I too noticed a small spot missing powder coat which may have been where it was hung. There was a single miss on each board probably half the size of an eraser head. Since it’s aluminum and not steel I...

    Greenlane rock sliders

They got these out so soon they don’t have the full instructions yet. I was considering a jack as well. I talked to Greenlane today and it’s an order of operations thing where you start at the front and work your way back. I still had to pull on it a bit to get it to line up, but it did work...

    Greenlane rock sliders

Just saw that you're the guy who built the wooden boat. I built a lumber yard skiff maybe six years ago and then a Gartside Riff sailboat that I lengthened to 14 feet. I might be done building boats for now, but I could get a hankering again...you never know it's fun.

    Greenlane rock sliders

:) I wear Arizona Birks most Summer days. I swapped to waterproof Crocs because I went to the self-serve car wash to spray down the underside before installing the steps.

Rails, Steps & Running Board Advice

I posted this elsewhere too, but I went with the Greenlane steps. They seem well constructed, work well as a step and look great.

    Greenlane rock sliders

Got my steps today. They look great and appear well constructed. I need to contact them because there are two bolts holes that appear misaligned. It could be me so I’ll hear what they say. And don’t make fun of my crocs dammit. ;)

Will do, looks like I’ll have them in a week.

    Greenlane rock sliders

These look great! Does it work well as a step? I have an order in for the flat step without the bump. I’m primarily interested in the step for my family, but like the modest protection for logging roads.

Low MPG on 2024 Landcruiser 250

It will improve as it breaks in, but maybe by only 1 or 2 mpg though. I've experienced this and others in these forums saw that same. Your tires and that gear on your roof rack will definitely affect your performance. I have A/T 275s and didn't quite hit 22 mpg on my last tank with about...

    Only getting 17mpg

Yeah, this is interesting. I'm able to maintain the EV at maybe 1/20th throttle. I can't effectively drive around with it because the acceleration is so slow that I'd interfere with other traffic. I wonder if there are adjustments (somewhere) that can help.

    Only getting 17mpg

WOW 45-50! I don't think I can do this in my commute with the typical traffic around me. They'd kill me for accelerating too slow.

    Only getting 17mpg

How so? Do you just drive so that Max never kicks-in?

    Only getting 17mpg

I'd like to see a software update where the ECO mode is able to leverage the hybrid before the car is fully warmed up and allow the driver a bit more throttle in EV only. The battery is really small though at <1/7th the size of a Prius battery so maybe they've figured out that you'll be using...

Please tell me this is on a 1958. :) I'm guess it's a higher trim.

Rails, Steps & Running Board Advice

Thanks, I’m seriously considering the Greenlane. I’ve got family members who have a tough time getting into my LC. Is it wide enough to operate as a good step?

    LC Fuel Economy

People say you'll get better mileage after the break-in period. I have ~2500 miles now and have noticed a slight improvement. It's not dramatic, but I believe I'm getting maybe 1.5 mpg better on my latest tank with more "moments of brilliance" as FirstLC said. I have E-load rated tires and...

Rails, Steps & Running Board Advice

Greenlane was mentioned earlier in this thread and they do have Aluminum parts for the J250 now 2024+ TOYOTA LANDCRUISER — GREENLANE OFFROAD. They sell a step slider without the bumpout. The pics aren't up yet, but they say they exist and will be on the site shortly.
