New from UK

Thanks - they are barely what you would see on a normal options list - which I suppose makes sense with a fully loaded special edition

I will probably get the rubber mats but maybe just the mats - seems like they are individually available

what part of the country you in
Did you select any options on yours?
So far, dealer hasn't been able to get any info out of Toyota on what each option includes. I particularly wanted to know what was included in the Essential Protection and the Style Packs. The Essential Protection Pack sounded straightforward, with the floor mats and the boot liner, but not so the side moulding. If it's the same as the Canadian option of the stuck-on colour coded door guards, then I wasn't interested. I therefore just selected the fixed towbar. My dealer did say that some items would be available as a dealer fit anyway.
I havnt been offered any options at all I did get a Dealer bulletin sent to me which was for Dealers the list on it says
1/ 18 inch alloys
2/ Panoramic roof
3/Roof Rails ( not rack ?)
4/ seven seats
Picture show side steps not rock crawlers
The rest we know ie headlights /engine/ colours etc
Has your Dealer charged you for a Tow bar ? I know the actual bar / receiver is factory
There must be a chance to option some stuff

I'm in the South West. Yourself?

Yes, they did charge me for the towbar, presumably covering the cost of the UK style hitch, mounting and electrics fitting.

The reviews for European models seem to reflect your list above, ie side steps, panoramic roof, roof rails, etc. Makes you wonder what the FE's extra £5k covers, apart from the limited number and some leather seats that look the same as the Invincible. Or am I missing something? It would have been nice to get a full spec comparison from Toyota! Heyho, it's only money. Hopefully improves the residuals.

I,ve never even seen that as options

i,m worried now i need the tow bar

The differences between the FE in UK Alec and the UK invincible seem very small but I guess we will see

I’m in London

I’m getting the Invincible and as far as my research has told me, it’s the lights, wheels and paint that’s different. The FE definitely comes with an exclusivity which will mean something on residuals and so could be cheaper in the long term. The FE cars in the US come with 18” alloys giving better off road orientated tyre options.
As for options, the dealers don’t know what is available which I find baffling considering how much they are expecting customers to pay for the cars which should arrive in a month’s time.
@KevD where did that option list come from? My dealer is charging me a ‘discounted’ price of £400 for the F&R Dashcam and £800 for fixed Towbar vs £375 and £639 on your list!!!! Should make for an interesting conversation…….

Strad, The options list is on the Toyota media site using the price list link….

Hello Srad
My Dealer just doesn’t know anything which I find hard to believe the first Dealer I had a deposit with tried to charge me a £1000.00 for a fixed tow bar
My current Dealer has not offered any options at all didn’t know the LCs are leaving the factory it’s not good enough spending £80

It’s weird - think there is a good chance we have all paid different deposits as well

Ah well here’s hoping the vehicle is worth it after all this time - my
L322 replacement has been a saga with a new Range Rover and then a Grenadier ordered and cancelled

Feels weird ordering a vehicle I have not driven but all being well I will have it in time for a few shoots and planned trips in Q4

What is the £5000 premium for with the FE over the Invincible?
Seems very steep when It doesn’t look like you get any extra equipment or options as standard with the FE compared to the invincible. 🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s a fair question - the differences are more style (lights/two tone colour/seats/flaps) adaptations (18 not 20 wheels) and the fundamentals seem to be pretty much identical

I had expected HUD and maybe Pan roof would be reserved for the FE so you got clear value for the £5k but to a material degree it’s £5k for the retro look of the round lights in the UK and the other model is fundamentally the same

My own position had been I prefer the look of the round lights and so I want the FE but if I had missed the allocation I was fairly content to be consoled by the £5k price differential and was going to get an Invincible for £75k

Hello Toyoda
Its a mistery all but the embossed First Edition in / on the trim and the fact us in the UK cannot have the Blue in the invinceble plus the round Headlights we wanted Blue and round Headlights so had no choice but to order an FE not sure if theres anything else my Dealer knows nothing I will be fitting a Front runner rack on mine so I might have Roof rails for sale or the EO roof rack for sale I dont know which because I dont know what the FE comes with ??

This may be of interest from Toyota Spain…………
Their FE compares to a VX edition, which I presume (may be wrong) is their version of the Invincible.
The main difference other than the ‘FE look’ is the sunroof. Their FE has a panoramic roof compared to what must be a standard sunroof.
The German site shows the panoramic roof. Pictures attached.

Also interesting is that it shows a combined WLTP fuel consumption of 10.6/10.5 litres per 100km or circa 26.6/26.9 mpg.

The UK and EU models are all Diesel in 2024 with first deliveries “allegedly” Sept

They are supposed to be releasing the 48V Petrol hybrid in 2025

My current FFRR is a 4.4 V8 diesel so having to sign up to buy a First edition without seeing it let alone driving is a bit of a concern
If you want you can bring your diesel to Oklahoma and I will trade you all day long... cant wait to see your mileage and torque numbers on that.

Around 30 mpg

My Sept 2022 LC had the same engine that the new one comes with and that had something like 36mpg as its official combined economy figure but actually did 27/28mpg, slightly more on long journeys.
It’s a shame that they haven’t come up with a new one for the new car as the Land Rover equivalent is way better sounding, smoother and quicker but the Toyota unit actually works and won’t let you down which is exactly why I love these vehicles.
I’m not worried about not having test-driven one, every LC has been great and this one will be better still - I just wish I could be so positive about the whole sales process and support from the dealer / Toyota UK………

UK gallon of course

“Is a UK gallon the same as a US gallon?

The Imperial gallon is a unit of volume in the imperial system of units, where the US gallon is used exclusively in the United States. The imperial gallon is 20% larger than the US gallon. The gallon is commonly used to measure volumes of fuel for vehicles. Miles per gallon are a unit often used for fuel consumption.”

so Dave’s number needs adjusting for you folk driving on the wrong side of the road 😀
