Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto connection reliability?

I had my LC in the dealership today to get the DEFA block heater installed (came with it but didn't have parts at delivery) and mentioned the wireless Android Auto connectivity issues. They checked but couldn't find any issues. Advised that they didn't have any updates for the head unit yet because it's still too new.

Insane in this day/age we have to depend on the dealer, that such updates do not come Over-the-Air. Or do they?

Updates for the head unit do come over the air. They just never update it. I had a Lexus for two years and I think I only saw one update. My 2020
4 Runner only got one update in two years.
