Here's my 2012 - trying to decide if I keep or sell it.

Complimenting my 1988 Fj62 Hoping to pick up my new FE monday.

I always wanted an FJ, but it never made sense throughout the years for various reasons.

The LC is my "dream FJ except practical", so in a non-literal sense, it has replaced the FJ for me!

Yeah, I'll be selling my TTUE MT for a Land Cruiser.

mmm, that's lovely!

Lone Pine Peak from Alabama Hills? I remember my first time there, I thought Lone Pine Peak was Mt. Whitney. Then later on it occurred to me that it wasn't actually Mt. Whitney, so i had to come back the next day and retake all my pictures framed on the actual Mt. Whitney (like the classic view through that little arch). haha

Yup, Mount Whitney hadn't come out of the clouds yet when I took that one.

Edit: a much less satisfying photo of the FJ and Mount Whitney from the hotel room...๐Ÿคฃ

Put me down for โ€˜keepโ€™. That is if you have the space for two vehicles & donโ€™t need the money out of your FJ to go to your LC. It might actually be worth a bit of money, but once you sell it you wonโ€™t get it back.

I replaced my 2008 FJ 2WD 105,000 miles not a bit of decent paint on one single panel. got $11k trade dealer has it listed now for $18,000 :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: As much as I loved it I just didnt have the room to stash it.

It's gone! what have I done? kidding aside I traded it in yesterday, a little part of me has some regret but we don't need 4 vehicles for 2 drivers. If I count the 2 wheeled vehicles, then that would push it to 8. Insurance only went up $48.00 per 6 month when I swapped out a 2012 FJ for a 2024 LC which seemed a little low to me. If I had it my way I would have traded in the wife's BEV but that was a firm NO.

I love both of them and the FJ is actually my 2nd. Drastically different but both are very enjoyable. The FJ is like a Tonka truck meets Humvee and still turns heads. The LC is more refined with modern touches and little less wind resistant on long trips.

Great TT.... many who sell regret it later. Proven engine and platform that goes on until 300K plus. Only time will tell on the new LC.
Like you it's my second FJ. If we had more space, maybe I'd keep it? But we don't, and what I get from selling it will help a lot in paying for the Land Cruiser!

I have an FJ cruiser and decided to keep it so I guess my LC is complementing my FJ. Interesting tidbit but, I just received this in the mail today for my FJ.View attachment 7894
Nice!!! Still 50k away in my taco. Do you service your rig at the yota dealer and thatโ€™s how they knew you hit the mark? Or did you participate in a yota-sponsored survey or something similar?

I donโ€™t trust the stealership to do maintenance on it. There is a website where you submit a picture of your odometer and fill out the form and they send it to you. I didnโ€™t document it, so Iโ€™m not sure what the website is, but if you do a search for Toyota high mileage club, you come up with all kinds of stuff.

Traded the FJ for the 1958 version as a direct replacement. Purchased the 2007 FJ in late 2006 and held on to it until the trade...almost 18 years of New England weather and winters, 180k, two high school kids and college....it served all family members well and then came the dreaded frame rot issue. It had seen its day and was time to move it along...got a fantastic trade. Toyota should have honored the frame replacement they issued for the Taco...I guess they did in the end, via the trade value...don't think this one made the resale lot. The family loved that truck, but in the end all were nervous it would fail and leave them stranded.

I hope the Land Cruiser will live up to its reputation as I has big expectations ... everyone in the family loved the FJ and it served us well. Now I look to the the LC to fill the void left by the FJ... and so far it has done an admirable job. But I do miss having 3 windshield wipers!

I had 330,000 miles on my FJ- traded it towards my LC, but still have my mint 1983 FJ40 - just no room for 3 FJโ€™s! The Cruiser- 2013- was the best vehicle I ever owned- hoping to say the same about Elsie, my new LC!
