Best vehicle I’ve ever owned is a toss up between my supercharged tundra or the LC. Only time will tell which one will win my heart

It's surprising to me how few previous LCs have been owned (at least by those who have answered). Where are the LC lifers that you read about ;)?
I have an 1988 FJ62 landcruiser that I have owned forever and still do. It has 205k miles on it now most put on by me. I responded. My two vehicles that I daily drive are 2 landcruisers.

Out of all of these, I kept the 4Runners the longest.

I've been thinking about this and just have to say that after 2,000 miles, there is no doubt in my mind that my 24LCLC is my favorite car that I have owned. Maybe it’s because it’s the highest end/most expensive car I’ve had, but I think it’s more than that. But I have feelings about all the rest. I can still see and feel that Prelude, and of course, distinctly remember hitting 125mph as a dumb 16-year old on an east TX highway. The fantastic 4WD capability of the Cherokee in the snow of upstate NY. The utter boringness of the Pilot and Highlander. And of course, the rumble, power and 12mpg of the V8 4R. But my 24LC just tops them all.

My car journey (in order of ownership):
1988 Honda Prelude (used)
1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo (used)
1996 Chevy Blazer (new)
2006 Honda Pilot (new)
2004 Toyota Highlander (used)
2006 Toyota 4Runner – V8 (used)
2016 Toyota 4Runner Ltd (new)
2024 Toyota LCLC

So what’s your journey and where does your LC stand?
Let's just talk LC
1976 FJ55. Bought from Nagoya for delivery to Mombasa. Still going, new safari body.
2005 LC bought in NYC drive around America. Lives on my ranch.
2021 LC bought in Grand Junction. Lives on my ranch.
2024 1958 bought in Grand Junction. Lives on my ranch.
Love them all. Never sell any. Will be for my kids.
All the Blazers, Suburbans, Chevy Trucks all died along the way.
The LC's still go on and on. Reminds me of the energizer bunny.

TIP On the older models. Take them to the dealer at 60K and tell the workshop to rebuild it from top to bottom. Repack the bearings, blow the lines, new brakes, new fluids, check steering, replace anything worn or cracked. Costs me a kilo buck but it is worth it. I get a NEW CAR from the dealer and will do it again at 100K.

2024 Toyota LCLC

So what’s your journey and where does your LC stand?
I have a long journey because I'm old. I've always tended towards smaller fun cars and the LC is only the 3rd SUV I've owned. But for the past 10 years I've owned both an SUV and a fun car. All but the SUVs have been stick shift.

1967 Rambler American (3 on the tree!!!)
1970 MG Midget (great college car except I went to college in Upstate NY)
1975 VW Rabbit
1979 VW Golf (first new car)
1984 VW GTi
1986 Toyota MR2
(3 company cars I won't admit to)
1998 BMW 318ti
2004 BMW Z4
2008 BMW X3
2015 BMW 228i
2017 BMW 230i
2004 Subaru Forester (purchased in 2015 concurrent with both 2 Series)
2024 LC Premium

I love them all. I love anything with 4 wheels.

I'll try:
1968 Camaro RS
1949 Chevy pickup
1968 El Camino
1974 Super Beetle
1981 280ZX
1983 Volvo GLT
1987 Pathfinder
