I use Amsoil in my Kubota RTV and John Deere tractor. I am thinking of using Amsoil in my LC. I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time. My plan is to keep the LC for a very long time. Any suggestions for a good quality oil? Thanks all, learning a great deal reading all of your posts. Thank You!

AMSOIL is the standard by which all others are rated.
I do exactly the same for all my engines.
You will not be disappointed. Make sure you use your preferred member discount it makes a big difference.
I use thier filters also.

Thank You, Amsoil is pricey, but it’s worth protecting the investment.

I have been using Amsoil Signature Series 0W20 and I have zero complaints.

I might switch over to Liqui Molly because a friend works for Liqui Molly USA Corporate and can get it for me for cost rather than retail pricing which is generally higher than Amsoil.

I like Motul 8100 for performance oriented vehicles. Otherwise Kirkland for daily drivers.

I'm using Amsoil Signature Series. I also use the same oil on my GDI engines to help keep the ports a little cleaner (it has a lower Noack value) - at least, that's the hope! So glad Toyota continues to utilize both port and direct injection.

BobIsTheOilGuy is a great internet forum to discuss the chemical composition of each motor oil in detail, and compare analyses of oil samples if you want to determine which oil is 'best'.

If you really want to geek out on motor oil...... check out Lake Speed, Jr. over on Youtube. More info than you ever wanted to know.

As a Certified Lubrication Specialist with over 20 years experience, The Motor Oil Geek channel delivers real data about motor oils from an expert perspective instead of speculation. On the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, I will upload a new video that either analyzes a new oil, dyno tests an oil, reveals the details about motor oil chemistry or uncovers the history of motor oil. Utilizing the same technology applied by Formula 1 teams, The Motor Oil Geek uses SPEEDiagnostix to analyze our new and used oil samples. ...morespeediagnostix.com

Its not so important what you use but that you change it at decent intervals.
Better oils a bit longer, however changing it regularly before it's overly contaminated and losing the additive package is what matters. Not getting it hot enough for long enough allows moisture to build up in the oil = bad.
All the top oils here and more are all very good ways to go.

Another Amsoil user here. I still have a bunch of 0W20 Synthetic European motor oil I will use first, I and sure the LC won't mind some fancy euro blend oil.
First oil change at 1500 km (950 miles) then at 10k km (6250 miles) and repeat every 10k km. I am installing a Fumoto when I do the first oil change.

I agree with this statement. Use what you can get locally and save your money. There is no need for any fancy boutique oil. Check this one out: 26k mi OCI, Mobil 1 5w-30 EP, 2018 4Runner

The Fumoto for this vehicle was fitted today as well. This is the one you want, easy for oil changes and tucks up high. you wont be disappointed.

AWESOME… an oil thread!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Right 😂. I abstained, I probably would get hated for my opinion. E.g I do 15k mile oil changes on my super duty with Kirkland oil.

I posted my oil choice for the LC in another thread but I don't buy into the cheap insurance mentality.

Guess I didn't really abstain all the way 😁

Can we please get an executive order to use metrics here in the US.....Please, Please, Please.

This is is the most expensive vehicle I have ever owned or will ever own. Folks here have been great about sharing their information. I really appreciate it. I’m sorry you don’t feel it’s a worthy issue. Thank you everyone who took the time to share their experiences.
