WAITING PERIOD BEFORE FIRST WAX

At this point I wasnt worried about swirles:). Had the Raptor about 5 months at this point. Luckily it mostly buffed out with a detail.

There's a reason I got the meteor shower color. ๐Ÿ˜…
Worry a bit less about scratches and the inevitable swirls marks.
That said I hand wash it for now.
But late fall/winter/early spring is touchless car wash and (eventual) hand drying season.

I did a coat of beadmaker after the first wash and really helped the rain and next washes.
I need to reapply next time.

I put PPF on the entire color section of my LC. The paint had gassed out by the time it arrived in the states. With the PPF I donโ€™t worry about car washes. Try to only go into touchless ones however.

Like DenisLM, I hand wash mine in the warmer months. I give it a clay bar treatment followed by a good hand waxing several times between April and November.

In the winter months, it goes to the nearby touchless car wash (with underbody wash) and quickie air blower followed by hand drying.

I feel that hand drying in the winter is essential as you can remove any thin film of dirt left on by the car wash and you can get bugs or spots that the car wash missed. Thare are always a few.
