Traffic Jam Assist

So the three of you drive with your left arm at the 1-2pm position? That seems like it would indeed cover the sensor.

Not always, but I do switch off/on depending on driving conditions, length, etc. The annoying beeps and dash messages was driving me batty.

TJA? Extended resume time? Give me another year and maybe I'll figure this out. I think I am behind the learning curve. Can only handle so much at a time😂
Can you trust it? I cannot imagine a car that could act quickly enough on its own to brake when needed in bumper to bumper traffic with the crazy drivers out there cutting in front of you within inches of hitting you.
Cars can now act faster and more reliably than you can. But I agree that the complexity of use is ridiculous.

I can report I was a big fan until this morning. I was on a 4 lane highway in the right hand lane with Traffic Jam Assist doing it's thing like normal. Still had my hand on the wheel going about 20 mph next to a semi trailer hauling a few items. All of a sudden without warning the vehicle slammed on the brakes almost causing the truck behind me to rear end me. Cars in front of me were not stopping so I have no idea what it thinks it saw but it was dangerous.
