2024 LC First Edition
I'm looking forward to the new experience. I'm particularly interested in the full-time four wheel drive performance and the mechanics of it.

The only surprise I've had so far was during the handover of my new LC at the dealership. It was just then I was told the LC is the only vehicle in the Toyota fleet that requires premium fuel. I know there are a couple of threads on this so I won't belabor the point. I just wish I knew this before buying. I've never thought to ask about fuel requirements of any car I've ever purchased previously.

So far, I still love the truck, premium fuel be damned!

Hello LCFirst! Welcome to forum. I don't particularly like it, but yes, will bite bullet, and use premium. What I REALLY do not like, is that Toyota will not issue an official response if regular fuel will be detrimental to the engine, apparently the same engine, HP/Torque, as is in the Tacoma, which does not suggest premium fuel. Not sure re the new 4Runner as yet, but would wager it does not require premium fuel either.

BTW, the mechanics of the LC are superior in my opinion, especially the use of a center lockable Torsen differential vs clutch systems used in many other vehicles.
