Just curious if anyone else has needed to adjust or can adjust the headlights after modifying?

I just put on a Westcott collar to level out my LC, I believe it is 2.75 in the front and 1 in the rear and added 285/70r18 along with some +40 offset method wheels. My headlight beams are now angled a little higher at night and I am getting flashed often for people thinking I have my brights on, so I am guessing I need to adjust my beam angle. Anyone else have to do the same thing?

I added some pics just because you got to after an upgrade..ha

Thanks!

Related... did you actually get 2.75" with Westcott up front? I know they advertise that... I only got 1.5".

Yes, the Westcott was either 2.5 or 2.75 up front, really like it and the slight increase in compression seems to have improved the loose handling on windy roads. Just a bit stiffer, which is great.

I had the lift shop adjust mine at no charge after the Westcott lift. People were flashing their brights at me LOL. I also put 285 70 18 tires on

According to the measurements my shop took, I only got ~1.5" up front and 1" in the rear. It was a little puzzling...

Canadian measurements are different than US due to the magnetic poles theory of longitudinal thrust

Thanks for the info on headlight adjustment as I’m having a Peak leveling kit installed today (1” front only). I would follow up on the discrepancy regarding the Westcott lifts. How is it possible it can be 1” different than advertised??!!

Did you end up getting your Peak 1" leveling kit installed? I have the 1.25" version sitting on my workbench. Trying to decide if it is worth the trouble or not.

I've done plenty of lift installs on Jeeps but this was my first time with IFS. If it's just the 1.25' top hat spacer, it is very easy. I had it done in about an hour. I found a mix of different instructions online (mostly trying to find all the torque specs). I ended up removing the tie rod end, sway bar end link, and just loosening the lower control arm bolt. Strut slid right out.

Yes I did have the 1" level kit installed and it looks great. A noticeable difference and now the vehicle actually sits level. Ride and handling unchanged. Levelling the headlights a breeze as well. Thanks to this post for the info!
