What abour your mpg before the At4wβs?FYI - Getting 21.1 mpg with the AT4Wβs in 265/70-18.
The few I've looked at generally require a minimum 8 or 8.5" wide wheel, wider than stock -- you'd need to upgrade your wheels. Do you know of any standard load options in that size? I might have to check, the few I've looked at are E load, a standard load or C load might work on the stock rims. It will hang down noticeably in the spare location.Late to the thread, but I wanted to mention that 285/65/18 tires are exactly the same rolling diameter as the OEM 265/70/18s. Iβll paste the tire size calculator result below. This would mean we could safely keep the OEM spare.
I have Wildpeak AT3 on my [outgoing] Tahoe, I see they are available in 285/65/18. Has anyone tried them on a LC?

Fair point. I hadnβt gotten as far as figuring out the OEM wheel width, Sounds like itβs 7β.The few I've looked at generally require a minimum 8 or 8.5" wide wheel, wider than stock -- you'd need to upgrade your wheels. Edit: WildPeak A/T4W comes in standard load in that size, requires a minimum 8" rim.
7" on the 1958, 7.5" on the other two trims. The two most common (so far) Toyota wheels people are getting (mostly to replace the 20" once) are 8" and 8.5". What tire do they put on the 1958? I should add that for reference. Is it a Michelin LTX Trail or something else?My own stock tires are 245 70 r18

My next purchaseβ¦Upgraded tires on stock 18 inch wheel. Went Toyo Open Country AT3 275/70/18. Ride great.
Yes, ditched those. Ride is probably a little better imo, no decrease in mpg, and these tires are quiet compared to other BFG All Terrains I've had on my Jeeps. My next purchaseβ¦
Did you have Michelins? If so, do you notice any degradation of ride quality, increased tire noise, or decrease of fuel economy?
any rub lock to lock? Did you also replace the spare?Yes, ditched those. Ride is probably a little better imo, no decrease in mpg, and these tires are quiet compared to other BFG All Terrains I've had on my Jeeps.
No rub and yes, replaced spare.any rub lock to lock? Did you also replace the spare?
Glad to hear they ride well! And those Toyo are load range E right?Yes, ditched those. Ride is probably a little better imo, no decrease in mpg, and these tires are quiet compared to other BFG All Terrains I've had on my Jeeps.
Looks amazing, did you do a westcott collar on that? I am debating between these tires and the Toyo Open Country AT III...how is the ride on these tires? I was going to try the Falken Wildpeak's but at 68 lbs a tire, was concerning to me - great looking set up!new member here, got a 1958 last month and recently got tires put on. Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 285/70/18, stock 18" wheels
no trimming needed. mudflaps were removed so they dont get caught on stuff
love the stock look - once lifted, will probably throw 35's on those rims
