The All-New 2025 Toyota 4Runner: The Icon That Inspires Exploration

Reading the bullet points, it just hit me that the LC does not have the hands-free power liftgate. Seems odd not to include that, even as an option.
 
No locking rear diff for one. It's either part time 4WD with a locking rear diff or full time 4WD with no locking rear diff. That would be a downgrade from my old FJ Cruiser, thus I got the Land Cruiser.
And no swaybar disconnect. Not sure about MTS modes.
 
A couple interesting things I've noted from the specifications:

-The hybrid system is not terribly light. It looks to add around 300 lb to the curb weight.
-The TRD Off-Road hybrid is around 150 lb lighter than the LC 1958.
-The TRD Off-Road is about 3" shorter (roof) and has 10 degrees fewer of approach angle compared to the LC 250.
-The hybrid 4Runners have a tow capacity of 5800 lb compared to 6000 lb on the LC 250.
-Fuel economy is the same between hybrid 4Runner and LC250.

I think the 2014 FJ Cruiser was the first time they used Heritage Blue? Theyโ€™ve been using it ever since though, including on the 4Runner not long after 2014. I recently saw a RAV4 Iโ€™m pretty sure was Heritage Blue.
 
Looking at the new 4runner configurator, interesting that it has options for both additional cargo lights and a liftgate light. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ”ฆ

The TrailHunter was my backup plan - so, I naturally did the same comparison just to see. I don't see 2025 4R on Toyota.ca, but If you build it on Toyota.com it's 68.350USD. That's 96K+CAD, so more than the LC FE... I am glad I got the LC now that I see this.

Toyota Canada has released their pricing but not on the website to build, as of yet. We do better than the current conversion from USD, thank goodness.

That one is Calvary blue. wayyyyy different! :p

I've had an internal debate on that, for me, it's just not as important. That said, I totally get why it may be with families or several dogs.

I think the RAV4 is Cavalry Blue, not Heritage Blue. It's difficult to tell the difference unless they are next to each other for reference. A friend of mine had the FJ Cruiser in Heritage Blue with the white roof - nice look!

The whole time I've had it I've thought about putting a white wrap on the roof.
 
My question is what parts are going to be interchangeable? Will the roof rails be plug and play with the LC250 (I have a 1958 and might want to add at some point). Same sliders and running boards? I see they have a nice cut out aluminum running board option. Back seats appear the same, hoping for an OEM seat back protector for the back seats like the LC250 gets in Canada and Japan. How about suspension and components? Did a TRD Pro Fox swap on an off road a couple years back and was a huge improvement and leveled it nice. I will say, the LC250 suspension is pretty good for what it is.

Also, anyone able to point to the ground clearance, approach, and break over numbers out of curiosity?
 
Thereโ€™s an option to have the Toyota emblem in front to light up.
