I test drove a 1958 today - brief thoughts coming from a 2003 4Runner then a 2013 Tacoma. Both 6 cylinder.
1. Low speed torque and ‘pep’ - outstanding and very happy with
2. Highway performance. Merged onto interstate at about 50. Punched and very quickly over 80. Also nice surprise
3. Very quiet on the highway and in town. Noticed the 4 cylinder noise a little bit but not distracting
4. Auto stop engine. Was worried about this one. I can honestly say if I didn’t know, I wouldn’t have noticed. Very smooth. No lag.
5. Very fun car to drive. Love the full time 4wd like my old 4Runner. Tacoma is a beast to drive in the winter without.
6. Torque/quickness > Tacoma > 4Runner
6. I have a deposit down for a LC model. Can’t wait!
