Super Confused in Fuel needed for 2024 Land Cruiser.

Except for the fact that Land Cruiser does not "require premium." The owner's manual simply says it's preferred for "optimal performance." And we've gone over why Toyota did this with the global Land Cruiser rollout (versus the Tacoma's North American rollout), and Toyota's own engineers have stated the Land Cruiser will do just fine with regular gas.
It’s says not using premium can cause engine damage and void warranty on the next section.

I've read the manual. It says you must use gasoline that meets US standards. It also says for optimal performance use premium fuel. Another great video for you that says premium fuel is not required in the Land Cruiser and will not damage your engine (starts at 21 mins). This is the same thing the chief Toyota engineer said in the previous video:

You need to read it more carefully then. I would take what Toyota says on their manual over random YouTube videos.

The Chief Engineer didn't actually say that premium fuel is not required for the LC. He was very careful to say "in general" that the Toyota engines (like all modern engines) have knock sensors that will detect pre-ignition and prevent engine knock. While I'm as confused as everyone else about whether or not premium fuel is required for the LC, I'm quite certain that premium fuel will improve the horsepower and torque produced by the engine. So, even though we may be able to run non-premium fuel, I'll stick to premium.

Given that the same engine is in multiple platforms, I would like Toyota to directly address whether or not premium fuel is recommended or just preferred.

What page in the manual is that on? I'm very skeptical that what you posted is actually from the manual.

If it was that important, I'm sure it would have been discussed on page 640 of the owner's manual which simply states:

"You must only use unleaded gasoline. Select premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 (Research Octane Number 96) or higher required for optimum engine performance and fuel economy. At minimum, the gasoline you use should meet the specifications of ASTM D4814 in the U.S.A."

I thought you said you read the manual? I am very skeptical that you actually did. Maybe read it again before accusing me of making it up.

That's in all manuals to cover themselves. Page 640 already stated at a minimum use gas that meets US standards. The words minimum and optimal are very key here.

This is obviously fake. The only way this is true is if Koji Sato comes to the gas station with me and confirms it.

So it is on the manual.

Toyota, says use 91, and then says not doing may damage the engine.

Don't forget the word "may" (not to be confused with the word "will")

May means 50% ? Less than 100%? 🤭
From other side of argument, that reminded sticker is the waste of labor and material= Toyota making 1 of the best vehicles in the world (through records) doesn’t know how to efficient assembling lines.

Peace and happy LC to all
Rolling with whatever you love ❤️

Premium gas typically has an octane rating of 91-94. These are newer hybrid engines for Toyota and for the price we all paid for them, it would be a shame to cheap out on gas and end up with issues. Keep in mind these engines have turbos and require higher performance gasoline. This is from a Toyota dealers website...

Toyota Models Using Premium Gas

Several 2024 Toyota models require premium gas. These include the GR86 sports car, the GR Corolla sedan, the GR Supra sports car, the Land Cruiser SUV, and the Tundra pickup. As you can see, vehicles in all areas of Toyota’s lineup rely on premium fuel. It’s important to keep in mind, however, that high-octane gas may only be necessary for vehicles that run on a specific engine in the lineup. You must consult your owner’s manual or contact us directly for the most accurate information about your situation.

The Tundra is Toyota’s large, full-sized pickup, making it the right choice if you need a cargo hauler for the jobsite or a vehicle capable of towing your gear out of town for the weekend. If you buy the Tundra with a 3.4L turbocharged V-6 engine, you must fill the tank with premium gas. The Land Cruiser is a big SUV known for its off-roading prowess. This vehicle is ideal for hitting the trail with friends and family since it boasts a solid towing capacity. Its 2.4L turbocharged engine requires high-octane fuel to run.

I showed you a lead Toyota engineer saying your engine will be perfectly fine with regular gas. I showed you another car expert, especially in engines, who said regular gas in Land Cruiser is very acceptable since it's the same as Tacoma. I showed you the manual which states minimum and optimal standards. I also told you why it says "premium" on the gas tank and why Toyota used a singular fuel standard for their global Land Cruiser roll out. But do what you may and pay the expensive gas if you like :) I'm getting close to 23mpg on mainly regular gas and loving it. No problems whatsoever. I'm also following the manual that states, at minimum, use at least US fuel standards.

The Land Cruiser 250 (and 4Runner's) chief engineer is named Keita Moritsu:
The engineer you referred to was likely not directly involved with either vehicle's engineering.
