I guess this goes to show that you should be prepared to change your oil wherever you are.
Am overseas on a 10 month trip and hit my first 1000 miles, so passed by a Toyota dealer in Munich for just an oil change + filter.
Got slapped with a bill for $350!!!
Will have to do a series of oil changes and services on the road, so not a ton of options...
For my reference what do we pay stateside for a dealer oil change and the first full service (at 10k miles)?

I am interested to know as well, because I highly doubt any of us will have the answer for this question since toyota covers the first 10k mile service.

A quick google search: "Yes, Toyota typically covers the first 10,000-mile service, including an oil change, on new Land Cruisers through the ToyotaCare maintenance plan. ToyotaCare is a complimentary maintenance plan included with the purchase or lease of every new Toyota, offering normal factory-scheduled maintenance for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first."

I assume they don’t cover oil changes internationally, if so I’ll be kicking myself for shelling out that amount 😄

That's a ludicrous price, unless they performed the whole 10k service which would likely be on par for what it would cost state side The 10k service is just oil+filter change, tire rotation, cabin filter replacement and the rest is a quick inspection all of which can be done in 1-1.5 hour tops. Might even cost slightly higher in the US depending upon labor rate?

Although you shouldn't be paying anything at the 10k service as its one of the two freebies for service intervals, wonder if that applies worldwide at Toyota dealerships? When we lived in Japan and had our Volvo the services were free at the local Volvo dealership.

I did the 20,000 mile “Service B” on my Mercedes GLC 300 Coupe a couple weeks ago. It’s essentially an oil change, some filters, inspections, etc. Nothing crazy. $1,100.

Went out the next day and put a deposit down on a Land Cruiser. Not doing another Mercedes service at that cost.

Mercs are a service joke for anyone that knows.
Deal breaker for me vs the other top rate vehicles out there, the LC being my top pick at this time.

I think I paid $135 at my local dealer for a 10K service at the 5K mark.

Depending on what filters got change, it would be 135-200 tops at my indy. I pay $40 for an oil change for my G wagon (I provide oil and oil filter).

I would never go to a dealership for regular maintenance, only if there are recalls or warranty work.

So... I did an oil + filter change on the 1GD at a Toyota Dealership- $370 NZD, which comes to $214 USD, €189.

A scheduled "full service" has capped price of $410NZD /$237 US/€210, once a year or at 15,000km. Nothing is free.

We need to have it serviced at dealers to get the 5 year / 150k km "Platinum Warranty Extension" , otherwise it's 3 years and 100k km.

Can you please share which oil grade was used and part-number for the oil filter?

I just paid $93 at the local Toyota dealer in northern Virginia

The Audi dealer wanted $895 for an alignment on my Q8 etron. I said no. They did it for free. But it was at that moment I decided my next car would not be German.

I had heard that everything with a Mercedes would cost more money, but I didn’t realize it was that insane. Just not worth it to me. I’d rather waste the extra $$ on accessories for a vehicle. That’s why I loved my old Jeeps. Always something to add or change.

If anybody in Oregon wants a nice Mercedes though, hit me up. 18,000 miles. Matte grey paint wrapped in PPF for extra protection. 2023 GLC 300 Coupe.

What is the rodent repellent treatment all about? Does it work? Can you please advise? Thanks in advance.

I asked for an oil change at my expense at my 5000 mile visit. It was about $140.

I’m curious about the rodent repellent treatment as well. Did my 1K oil change (one tech seemed to think I was nuts) but they showed a picture of a nest. No damage except to a piece of fabric. I suspect it happened when the first owners let it sit for a month before flipping it. But I also know friends who had their Subaru totaled because it’s got lots of soy products that attract rodents. I didn’t think this was an issue on Toyotas.
