Say Hello and tell us about your SoCal Land Cruiser

This is a great idea! Thanks for putting this together…I’ll try and make it up from SD, provided my rig is back from the dealership. It’s being repaired after some rodents ate my wiring harnesses. Those little fakahs!!!!
Even rodents love your LC, who else in this world doesn’t love LC. We all love our LC ;)

Quick update to show a proper picture of the LC touching dirt the other day when I took a quick trip to goof off down in Anza Borrego. This was taking out over in Font's Point, nice easy dirt/sand-ish road with amazing views of the carved rock area. Also went partially down Inspiration Wash just to check out a few things and then drove over to Coyote Canyon to see is there was any water in the crossing. The first crossing was bone dry, but the second one had a bit of running water in it and folks playing around in the area. Was a nice drive around the area, I'll try to alert folks here next time (not forgetting folks that were interested I promised!) I plan to roam down there and throw out an invite, I was rather surprised for a weekday how quiet it was few other cars in the area and one group of jeeps doing some convoy roaming in areas that was cool to see. The weather was amazing also, high of like ~73 by the end of the day when I left.

Love both of those runs. Fonts Point is one of the prettiest lookouts that I've seen at the end of the trail

I have been to Font's Point and Coyote Canyon but never to Inspiration Wash. What's is like? Borrego is my playground too. We're going back out there in two weeks. Next time your going out there let me know if you want company or we could meet up out there.

Inspiration Wash is right before Font's Point there is a small sign on the right side of the road of it. I only went maybe ~1/4 of the way through it when I poked my head down it this last trip. The last time I went on the full trail it had a few challenges with some deep ruts and stuff, but overall just took it slow and didn't have any issues in my Tacoma at time. Here the description from OnXOffRoad:
Inspiration Wash is a trail in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park that follows a canyon through the Borrego Badlands. The trail possesses otherworldly geography and is great for scenic driving. Throughout the trail, you'll encounter several technical challenges including steep and deeply rutted hills, shelves, and off-camber sections all paired with the narrow and twisting canyon walls. High clearance and 4WD will be essential. The wash is shaped during the desert's wet season and may change year to year. Always come prepared and be aware of your surroundings. Despite the nearby dunes, vehicles accessing the trail must be highway legal. Several areas may only be accessed by foot. Respect all posted signage.
To started in on it from Borrego Salton Seaway road and drove to about the point where it started to into the canyon-ish wall area which I turned around because it was started to get a little late in the day and I needed to get back home. But, I remember when I did the full thing and looking at OnX it did send me out to another street at the end which looks to be Dump Rd. hopefully I am remember things correctly. Looking around the area there is Inspiration Wash which is just before Font's point entrance and I just found there is another trail called "Clark Dry Lake" never been on it and didn't even realize it was there without looking at OnX maps, from its information it rates that as a 2/10 technical rating where Inspiration Wash is a 5/10 and Font's is a 3/10. Looks like there is another trail just after Font's Point down the road called Palo Verde Wash that could be another good trail never been on it but from the maps it seems like its a 3/10 rating technical wise also. I'll be honest, I'm babying my LC currently but I'll give it a year or so and also put some proper skid plates on then I'll be more willing to take it on some higher technical stuff, however my Tacoma I have no problem giving that a whirl on things as its already gotten its battle scars from branches and other drivers in Costco/Parking lots giving it a few scars also - a little dirt/rock won't hurt it anymore ;). On a side note, I really like OnXOffroad I would have honestly never found all these other trails or stuff down in Borrego currently looking at it, also I use it for Dove hunting season to mark a couple locations I go with friends so if anyone on the fence with its worth the yearly subscription I've paid for thus far.

If you make it down there drop me a line I'll try to come on down, I need to give the Tacoma some time in the dirt to exercise its 4WD and also try out the new Toyo Open Country/AT3 I put on it recently also since it destroyed the Falcon Wildpeaks AT/3 I had on it they cupped really bad even with normal rotations and stuff but the Toyo's seem to be doing/raiding far better. Thinking of doing Nitto for the LC when it comes time also as always wanted to try that brand. Random tire thoughts to throw out there.

hello from San Diego. i week old 2025 LC here!
That is an awesome setup! What type of tear drop is that if you don't mind me asking and how do you like it? I've always been curious about getting one and more recently have though about looking up some of the sites/places that offer them to rent to give it a whirl to see if I'd like one long term.
