Running Boards/Steps Options

Does the 1958 have the power cables to run the lights?

I have seen somewhere that it does not. That was a 2024, though. Who knows with a 2025. Toyota could come to believe that it doesn't save money to have two different chassis going down the line with two different wiring harnesses.

For what it's worth, I gave these a shot on Amazon for $300:

Kids were having a hard time getting in and out of the 1958 and I couldn't find anybody willing to ship some take-offs. They arrived within a week from China, were very well packaged, look and feel OEM, and took about 20 minutes to install. As another posted said, the main 12mm bolts that attach the brackets to the running boards are already there... so I just took them out, added some anti-seize, and used them again. The boards connect to the brackets using 10m t-slot hardware. I dabbed blue loc-tite on those threads to ensure they stay in place. Overall, pretty happy with them. Not usually one to buy stuff direct from China.

Hello Folks,
1) Can anybody help me with the Toyota part number for the 2025 4runner Limited, Power running boards?
2)Also can some body please tell me if they will be plug and play install on the LC (just like the Lexus GX550 power running boards)
Thanks.

Pretty sure others have already confirmed but I finally got an email from Amp saying they're not making powered steps for the LC. On that note, saw the new 4Runner will have a powered step option for their higher trims. Hoping it'll be plug and play and cost less than the Lexus part.
Were u able to confirm the new 4runner ones being plug and play for the LC? (If so,
a)what are the part numbers?
b)do they plug in directly into the connector for the ilght for the LC LC Premium package illuminated running boards?
c) Can they work without installing an ON-AUTO-OFF switch?)

I priced the gx 550 boards from Lexus. Let’s just say.. they don’t ever expect to sell any. Not including installation. I bought 2 sets.
Will these connect plug and play to the connector for the illuminated running boards for the Land Cruiser LC Premium Package and work (without an ON-AUTO-OFF switch)?

1. For some reason the part number isn't available in my employee portal quite yet, you'll need to check with the parts department. They have different diagram access
2. They should bolt on correctly, but the connectors for the LC's illuminated running boards are a 2 pin connector vs a 6 pin for the automatic running boards on the GX and 4R, so you won't have the step functionality. Without digging too deep into it, you'll need the switch, running board ECU, running board wiring harness. For some reason the forum isn't letting me post the screenshots from TIS.

Thanks for this info wedemmoez. I asked the Parts department at my Toyota dealership, they said they will need a VIN to find the Part number.

Would you be kind to email me the details for the Running board ECU, Running board Wiring harness and Switch and the relevant diagrams and TIS install info on my email:
mobin_ch@yahoo.com
Appreciate the help.

Q) Also do you think I can somehow fit the older 4runner generation power running boards on the LC, if I can find them from maybe a crashed one at a junk yard or a second had parts site. ?

Thanks.
