Any luck on the taco swap over ?Well there's that. I once thought it might be an option if my AMP project didn't pan out. If it ever stops raining I'm going to start measuring the Taco to see if they' swap over to the LC.
Not yet, other projects before I take one off the Taco. I contacted the company but no action yet.Any luck on the taco swap over ?
I’m interested if you stillI'm taking my illuminated running boards off my LC Premium in the next couple weeks. I wouldn't mind shipping them if you're interested.
Hi. I have a GX550 Overtrail with the OEM running boards which have lights. First question, can I swap these for a member’s LC First Edition rock sliders? Second, if I do that do I need to plug the connectors for running board lights? Or does OEM rock slider have a connection? I know zero about electrical stuff…thanks! Thanks! I ended up going a different route rather than getting the parts from Toyota since it's much more expensive that way. They Charge about $5 for each plug (6 needed) and those are like 10 cents when gotten from wiring specialists.
For anyone interested in Replacing their factory running boards with non OEM rock sliders, you will need to plug the connectors for the running board lights. You'll need the following
2 x connectors - Sumitomo TS025-3P
6 x connector plugs - Sumitomo TS025-PG.
I ended up ordering the parts from a website that sells OEM electrical connection parts for about 10$. If I would have ordered from the dealer it would have been 4x more.
Attached is the instructions from Toyota when replacing the running boards. Shows how to assemble the connector with the plugs and the procedure overall.
Thanks!oem rock sliders come with a dummy connector to plug into the wiring connector from the running board that you will remove.
Confirming my LC FE has a connector somewhere underneath near my rock sliders in case I replace it with an OEM illuminated running board from an LC LC with premium package. No need to find a harness for it? Or does a dummy connector mean there's no power to it and will be non-functional.oem rock sliders come with a dummy connector to plug into the wiring connector from the running board that you will remove.
Did you find somebody to trade you their running boards for your rock rails?Anyone find the part numbers for the illuminated running boards that come with the LC Premium package? I have an FE with Rock Rails that I would like to trade for illuminated running boards, but if I cannot find anyone in the Northeast looking to trade or even sell there running boards, I will have to see about purchasing a set new from Toyota.
X .Pretty sure others have already confirmed but I finally got an email from Amp saying they're not making powered steps for the LC. On that note, saw the new 4Runner will have a powered step option for their higher trims. Hoping it'll be plug and play and cost less than the Lexus part.
