After a week of not hearing from the dealership about the roof rail dents, I called and they said they are waiting to see if Toyota posts a technical service bulletin. So I guess I have to just wait, and wonder what happens if one isn’t released.Did you ever get any resolution with the dealer? I would think they would at least pay for the PDR.
I work at a dealership. If at this point you have not heard back, open a case with toyota. Call the toyota customer service line and that will get things moving. You won’t make friends with the dealership but it will get help. The dealership has contacted Toyota but I have yet to hear back.
It just seems to be the heavier FE rack. I’ve not seen issues with any of the 8 other ones we sold.Has anyone seen this on the Land Cruiser trim work just the rails, or is this only with the upgraded rack?
Yes, poor workmanship when installing them!It just seems to be the heavier FE rack. I’ve not seen issues with any of the 8 other ones we sold.
i thought accessories like roof rack and rock sliders are installed in JapanI took delivery of my FE and did not let the dealership detail department clean it. In fact I was there when it came off the carrier and took it right away. The way this happened is I’m a manager at the dealership. I started with the background to let everyone know that I found 3 dents on one side and one on the other side of the roof. Theses dents were where the port installed my roof rack. They are not bad but I’m ocd and they bother me. I’m getting mine fixed by a buddy, but you need to inspect your FE Land Cruiser at delivery. I know no one touched my car but me so I know how it happened. Just look at yours.
Nope, the rock sliders and roof rack are PIO's. I think the only FIO's are the 20" wheels and the PP.i thought accessories like roof rack and rock sliders are installed in Japan
