Rain confusing the RCTA?

First heavy rain storm I've had the LC in and the Rear Cross Traffic Alert was going off in response to water pooling/dripping near the cameras, I guess.

Minor inconvenience, but is that normal behavior for these types of systems?

I'm a big fan of it even when it's annoying due to some close calls I had in my previous vehicle.

I had the same happen to me today - heavy rain and wind with this tropical system. And I agree, Ive had close calls with people deciding to walk behind my 4runner when I have reverse lights on, so I will take the warnings.
