2024 LC Premie - "Clark"
FullSizeRender.jpeg
I know it is hard to discern the subtleties of the different shades from a small picture, but zooming in on the pictures does help.

I have purchased a set of used, very lightly scratched, 18x7.5", LC/FE style wheels to replace the 20s that came with my Premie. I have a shop lined up to powder-coat the new (to me) wheels and would welcome opinions. My intent is to invoke the early/mid 70s vibe when White spoked wheels were very popular - without getting too gaudy.

Number 1 is a battleship gray and not my favorite at this time

Number 2 is a very light gray to off-white with some darker gray metallic flakes in the mix.

Number 3 is a solid grayish-white with no metallics

Number 4 is a very light gray.

Number 5 is a cream color

Number 6 is a VERY close match to the roof

Number 7 is a somewhat darker gray.

Let me know what you think!

I think #5, #1, or #3 would be too distracting. Any of the other ones would work fine IMO.

I had been intrigued by the cream color, but momma shared your opinion. While I still think #5 would look good, I decided to stay with my 'Plan A' and went with number 6.
I think youโ€™ve got a great idea with the roof color & should evoke those white steel wheels well. Looking forward to seeing pics of how it turns out!

Hi have you a picture of them re finished please

It would be nice if you could try the different colors on a wheel and just set it in front of the existing wheel and step back and look at it and then wash that paint off easily. Maybe without a primer and a pressure washer to wash it off? IDK
Without testing the color first, I guess you're pretty much stuck with whatever you choose? Just a thought, even if it is retarded.

Looks great! Can you provide some more pics from different angles/outside?
Not today, but I was planning a forest roads ride for tomorrow. - I was planning to take some shots. I only have one at this time - attached

BTW - the wheels appear lighter in both pictures. In this one I was shooting into the sun, and in the garage picture because the adjacent garage door was open and the Clark's roof was less illuminated.

In equal lighting, the roof and wheels are virtually identical.

Here are some shots from today's journey. I hit some of the nastiest roads I know of in northern Minnesota, avoiding those that are so overgrown that I would only attempt to on my motorcycle or an ATV. Clark and the new Duratrac RTs handled everything with no problems!

Looks nice! Which size Duratrac RTs did you do with?

Stock size. The extra side lugs on the Duratracs make them a bit wider, over all, than the stock, mall-crawler tires. There are absolutely no clearance problems, but the spare does hang ~3/8ths of an inch lower.
