Sometimes after driving my LC to a destination and turning off the engine, there will be a sound like someone is tapping the body of the car (in the rear portion) with an object. The sound is like the object being used is a metal object. I have noticed this after sitting in the car for several minutes after the engine is turned off. My guess is that it has something to do with the hybrid motor. Nothing seems to be wrong, just curious about it and wondered if others had experienced the same thing or had any explanation>

I heard the same thing, it can happen even hours after it is turned off. Luckily it was a sound I had heard before on our 2010 Highlander. I was told by the service techs that is has something to do with the fuel pump. They told me not to worry, which I did anyway, but nothing came of it. Now I hear it on my 1958 and go, I guess it's still nothing to worry about. IF it's the same sound.
