Good morning all, I have checked through the net and they really do not make a lot of products for the 24/25 Cruiser. I have been looking for a brush or bull bar for my vehicle that did not require alteration to any part of it. If anyone is interested I found a bar that you can also mount lighting to that bolts on to the existing tow hooks underneath the front of the vehicle. Nice4 add on if you want to remove or change later on. Very simple install by removing the tow hooks spinning them and replace the bolt through the hook and then the bar. It bolts right up and looks like it belongs there.

aFe Power has one coming out shortly that they are taking advanced orders from that I've also been looking at. I like how it's a bit more substantial that the CA Tuned one you showed.

You do "lose" the front recovery points mounting the aFe Power one. According to one of their techs, this is how it mounts:

"The bull bar mounts directly to the frame via the factory recovery points along with additional upper brackets that tie into the crash beam area. Eliminates the factory recovery hook but you gain a more accessible shackle mount in its place."

The black hood stripe is also nice 👌

I like the more square boxy look, complement the look better.

@Tomo1 with the CAtuned bar mounting to the front recovery point location, are the original recovery points removed permanently or are they retained and available for use? If they are retained, would any strap or rope (being used for a tow) contact, stress or damage the bar?

I was able to get 1 of the 2 tow points back on. I just bolted it back on under the bull bar. I am not sure if CAtuned tested the bar with first edition/premium skid plates like mine has but the second tow point just barely hits the lip of my skid plate which prevented me from getting the second one back on. With professional install or a few mallet whacks to the skid plate lip to bend it a few millimeters inward might do the trick. I think you can at least pick which side you want to put back on with a lil wiggle room. I put the passenger side tow point back on. Without FE skid plates I am told they both go back on easily.

Structural capacity of the tow points I have to imagine is diminished at least slightly since it now has maybe 1/4 inch steel between the thread and tow point but haven't needed to use it yet.

Thanks, @dtxlcfe . I too have a FE with skid plates. I haven't looked yet to see if the recovery points are installed with bolts or nuts. Would longer bolts be better for installing this bar, especially with the skid plate? Does CAtuned provide any bolts?

Cool. What wheels are you running? They look good

CAtuned doesnt provide any bolts you just remove the factory ones and put them back in. These are heavy duty steel bolts I am not sure where but you can probably find some that have a longer thread, I would just make sure they are of the utmost strength and quality since they are responsible for holding thousands of pounds under stress.

@dtxlcfe your last photo seems to show quite a large reduction in ground clearance with the CAtuned bar installed. It looks like maybe a couple of inches. Is this true?

no impact on ground clearance when the car is level really. just approach angle. but this thing is surprisingly rigid I didn't expect that. Its there to protect so if it rubs dirt or rocks I dont mind.
