New from UK

Hi and welcome.
My thoughts exactly as I’ve had on order since June a invincible and was told September delivery and then later told “don’t know when maybe 12 months” and the impression I get is that Toyota UK don’t want to sell them even though they tell me they want to compete with Defender.
I still have mine on order with no delivery date and car less as I sold my 200 series V8 as soon as I put my order in.
I have a good contact at Toyota if anyone would like to email her and put some pressure on.
I put my first deposit down on an Invincible in early August 2023, paid another large deposit in June this year and like you sold my virtually new 150 series that month believing the September estimated delivery date……..
I now have an early December est delivery but who knows, not the dealer that’s for sure. This wait and Toyota’s total lack of interest has certainly dampened the new car excitement but no doubt I’ll love it when/if it eventually shows up.

I believe Toyota need to know how we feel and the way we have been treated is unacceptable, have you pushed it with Toyota UK ? If not do so and be very stern with them

I have been in dialogue with Toyota UK and I honestly believe they are not remotely interested in how we (very few people) feel, the focus is on sales and the LC just doesn’t feature in the numbers.
Having been through the excitement and anger phases, after 15 months of waiting I’m beyond worrying about it now!!

The skid plate thing is a joke. I could understand it on a lower spec model, especially given the lack of off road use some will see, but on the FE where people have spent a small fortune and you are doing them in other markets with proper skid plates, it is just not acceptable.

I have just sent pictures to Toyota UK as requested of my black thin Skids the FE ones are silver and much thicker also embosed stamped with a large TOYOTA stamping lets see but I dont hold out any hope its just LIP SERVICE !!!!!!! then they will just say its not on the UK Spec its either an FE or its not !!!!! there needs to be some clarity not just making it up as they go along dont forget its an £80 k vehicle for gods sake

I see that some additional options/accessories are now available on the Toyota website:

Unfortunately, it is lacking photos of all the items.
Hi Kev the tow electrics is Plug and Play after all re the accessories I see theres a flang type tow ball i,ve ended up with a swan neck and told this is the only option ?? wonder what you have got ??

Good question….I will know tomorrow when I pick it up. I ordered the 13pin version thinking that it would be future proof, although I need 7pin for my trailers, so have asked whether a converter is included…..no answer from them yet, so I have ordered one of Amazon, just in case.

I just ordered the fixed towbar, not knowing what that looked like at the time. I see that the previous version LC designates the flanged one up to 3000 kg, but not sure what it’s max towing capacity is for that version. It doesn’t say for the 2024.

They are appalling

Skids and whilst it’s a lower cost item the missing FE rear clip up mat - they are treating UK buyers as fools - cheapening the spec and charging far more money

I am still pushing the skids but I don’t expect to get anywhere - dealer is pleasant but hopeless

If the ship is docking at Portbury with your vehicles in mid Nov I can’t believe you will collect from dealer 7 days later - our FE models arrived weeks later - might have been around 7 weeks before they were delivered to dealers and then there was more messing around

I finally have it, complete with a fitted towbar. It certainly likes beeping at you, whether driving or just parked up checking things out……..so much to learn. The online manuals are huge.

Well done, congrats! Look forward to hearing what you think………??

Seems no KO3’s in UK until next year from my checks

If any of you learn of any please post up - would like to get a set for the FE

I’m sure they will be better than the KO2’s but they look virtually the same and I doubt we could notice any difference in performance in day to day use so unless they will be here early 2025 then I’ll probably go for the KO2’s…………… if and when Toyota decide to deliver the Invincible. I imagine they wont be cheap either.

For us Brits posting here - I am trying to get a regional/country specific forum structure as the model spec differs

If that isn’t possible I fear the Uk interest will peak and decline once we have models delivered but the spec means the US orientated threads fail to relate
