My Buying Experience/First Impressions

Can you log into the toyota website from a browser on your computer and try deleting the vehicle? Did you try resetting the vehicle’s software to factory defaults?

Also after you reset everything to zero, you might try connecting your vehicle to your home’s wifi network so the car has a reliable internet signal. My car had spotty cell reception/connection and I couldn’t complete my setup. (Failed at the stealership and in my garage)

It went thru really good when i connected my Lc to my home wifi

Thank you. Yes, I can and have deleted the vehicle (and re-added it) from my PC. No effect on the phone app.

I have reset to default.

I live in an area with spectacular phone service. All those politicians we all hate hang out here with multiple phones.

My Taco was removed and when I purchased the FE, I added it back in everything showed back up. When the free sub runs out, I'll not be renewing it.
 
Not sure where to put this but looking for some help. I picked up my LC today and all is well except no one is able to set up my Connected Services. The dealer failed. The Connected Services help desk failed. It was escalated and the 2nd level completely misunderstood the question.

In the Toyota app, under subscriptions, it just tells me no services found and gives me no chance to set them up, or even buy them. I can't do it through the multimedia screen.

One confession: I installed the app and entered my VIN well before I ever took possession of the vehicle. However, it will not let me delete the vehicle and if I uninstall and reinstall the app, the vehicle is still there.

I am very tech savvy despite my advanced years so I don't think I'm being an idiot, but there seems to be something wrong with my account.

Any thoughts or similar experiences would be appreciated because the people on this forum have always been more helpful and knowledgeable than salesman.
My husband is still dealing with this. We had to contact Toyota to get the “incorrect” vehicle removed from his app, but still can’t find a way to add the correct vehicle. I also added a vehicle before we closed the deal but was able to remove it.

We both drive this car and we both want the app and all the functions.
 
Ran into this trying to add our LC to my wife’s Toyota app. I discovered that only one phone can have the vehicle added and access the remote features.

I hear you but I like most of these apps and use them. My other car is a 7 year old BMW and I still subscribe to most of them
 
Happy ending! Sometime in the middle of the night, Connected Services removed the vehicle from my account (which the app wouldn't let me do). I also deleted and reinstalled the app on my phone and unpaired my phone from the car so I could start fresh. I am fully connected now and everything appears to be fine. Of note is that my salesman completely abandoned me on this issue despite telling me it was so important he would be fined $500 if it isn't taken care of. But the difference in our technical skills was apparent and I am much more comfortable with both technology and help desks than he is.
 
I don't know why they leave their sales people in charge of setting up the technology. BMW has specialists for this.

When I took delivery they had an in-house specialist for these things and she went through the vehicle thoroughly and helped setup connected services, radio favorites, everything. Must vary by dealer.

It probaably will. You might want to start working on getting it deleted now. Phone number for Connected Services is 833-914-0989. Your salesman will likely be clueless if one single thing goes wrong.
