I'm looking at a similar setup, but with a Roofnest Falcon Pro. What mounting strategy did you use? It looks like you don't have any extra spacers. Did you mount through the sunroof and from the back?

Yep, exactly what I did. The back is tricky but when I drop the tent on I have one spin bolt and u-bolt already on so I only need to tighten one side.
 
Nice to have super low profile, but it seems hardly / tricky to install and take off the RTT with that method.
How often RTT will be removed from vehicle?
Many people just leave the RTT to the vehicle roof all the time because of that hardly install and remove? Is that because of it ?

The raised mounting brackets are designed for good reasons:
• having room for easier installations
• avoid the rattle noise from RTT bars hitting all other cross bars of roof rack while driving off-road
Some RTT like Ikamper has the wind shield at front to seal the gap (caused by raised mounting brackets)
