Hi Folks,

Has anyone noticed the blower is much noisier when directed down towards the footwell?

I'm in Canada and heat is all that we have been using so far. When on Auto the air is redirected towards your feet (which is normal for most cars) but it's much louder compared to when blowing towards the windshield or through the front vents. There is even a second whistling component mixed with the main sound of air flow.
The noise is coming from behind the front vents or behind the middle/central display.
The car heats up fine otherwise - maybe a bit more than the actual number that you set it to.
This makes the Auto mode almost unusable in the winter - you always have to switch to manual and redirect towards the font vents (which not where you want hot air in most cases).

I tried another 1958 in the dealership and it didn't seem to suffer from the same problem - redirecting the flow down increased the air noise but not as much as on my car. Haven't talked with the dealership yet but I'm afraid they'll take the car and keep it for weeks waiting to hear back from Toyota.

I'm with a 2024 LC 1958.
Eco mode is off (no effect on the problem)
Flow Sync is off (slightly worse when set only to the front seats)

Please share what you see on your cars.
