Lift & leveling kit options

This is what I'm basing it on...

Looks like you can choose among those based on your needs and they are each available from the drop down menus in the links above. This is the route I am going to go with 2" lift and stock load springs front and rear. I'm not carrying a lot and historically the word I have read is they tend toward the stiffer side.
Agreed with only lifting 2”. After removing my GX SPC UCA, I’m over it.
Thank you for sharing

Sequoia rear shocks but some sites confirm fits LC250.

For those with the Westcott level kit, what height increase did you see up front?

To me this is the perfect setup. Would you mind telling me what you did exactly? Is this the Westcott preload collar lift kit giving 2.5" of lift to front and .75" in the rear? Any change to shocks or springs? What size wheel here - 17" or 18"? And then tires - they look like KO2s - which size? Thank you in advance!

This is the exact set up you stated
It seems a little to squishy in the turns coming down hill at 65 to 75 MPH.(leans alot) not sure how it. Compares to stock as I bought it with the lift.
Just took a 300 mile trip woth a 3000lb camper(loaded) dropped the rear about 3 inches but drive great. 7.3 Mpg up. 13 mpg down.

So, maybe kit is a bit strong, however...

...not through King directly, but through Total Chaos. It sounds like they are the only ones in the game right now with UCAs.

I'm a pauper, especially after buying this truck, so I'm going to end up with Dobinson's and am shooting for a 2" lift, hoping not to need UCAs and diff drop.
Rough Country has one out. Total Chaos is about $3,500 for kings up front and $5,300 with rear kings. They won’t be out until mid Oct. Westcot, I was on the list and paid for one and still waiting. So I went with Rough Country. I was able to get 35x12.5 / 18. With a 25 offset.

Is this their 3.5" kit? Looks good. Thanks in advance!

It’s a cool setup, but no idea why they kept so much rake.
Depends on how much weight they will be carrying if they are overlanding. Most of the overland rigs I've seen have a rake when they aren't loaded down but still have performance when they are.

And.... when I measure my LC250 it looks like the front is about 1" lower than the back so I'm curious how a +2.5 in the front and +.75 in the rear results in a "level" aspect. Anyone with knowledge/experience than me able to toss some geometry out to explain how this is "level?" Curious... Thanks!

So I havent got an answer from Westcott... but the 2.5" front lift they advertise actually got me just over 1.5". By the measurements the shop took, it was ~1.5 and 1.65 up front, and 1" in the rear. This left a slight rake, with the rear fender being 0.5" higher than the front.

Good to know. Thanks. That sounds good.

That’s actually got to know. Maybe the height varies. But thinking the 2.5” would be too high for my tastes and I’d prefer a 1.5-2 anyway

I got the Rough Country level in kit on but it seems like my front is just slightly higher now. Pulling a light camper with a LDH squats the back quite a bit. My ultimate plan is to go with Dobinson complete 2” kit in a couple of years.

Anybody got any ideas on how to raise the back maybe 1/2” with a little stiffer spring?

I was thinking you already had a lift or leveling kit? No? I guess just larger tires?
Is there any reason you chose this unique kit rather than the Westcott or Toyo or another brand that we hear so much about?
By the way thank you for putting out some cool videos with great scenery!
I hope I have the right guy😂. The family cruiser?

Since the Land Cruiser is made in Japan, I thought I’d seek out some JDM parts. Jaos is taking a while and couldn’t find a good source.

Readylift
Thanks. This looks interesting in the sense that any kind of spacer kit is really not a great solution especially when pushing to 2.5" of lift from just spacers/pre-load.

IF I were going to go this route to get a little more clearance for tires and a little more clearance to the body/bumpers/etci I woudl be more comfortable with 1" not causing more problems than it is solving.

noT much chatter on this kit here.
