Land Cruiser Tire Upgrades?

I'm wondering this as well. I'm coming from a Silverado with DuraTrac Wrangler RTLT so I can't imagine them being louder.
For what it's worth, I put the Nokian Outpost nAT 275/60/R20 P-metric on yesterday and don't find them loud, and don't have any vibration even at 75mph. I'll see if anything untoward develops as time goes on, but on first report - I like them.

I’ll post a video next week of the noise when I’m back in town. They are the loudest tires I’ve owned for a very long while.

By vibration I don’t mean from being off balance but rather I can feel the tread in the steering wheel. They are significantly more aggressive in person than they look online with big voids between the tread.

I'll be getting the same, maybe for some odd reason the 18s are louder than the 20s

I'm curious - Do you have the LT or P-metric? Big difference in tread depth, weight, and I'd assume stiffness, between the 2 variants.

P metric, 116s load. I can’t explain it but at least one other LC250 owner had the same experience on IH8MUD. It might just be this size??

I really wanted them to work. They look great and are outstanding in the snow.

I'll post an update a few days after using them. Could be the size for some weird reason.

I saw this same comment on the IH8MUD forum. Maybe something is off with the tire in that size and load because it seems like others with LT or different sizes haven't mentioned excessive road noise/vibration.

I’m pulling the Nokians off mine next week - can’t take the noise and vibration. They are great in the snow tho and look great.
Well maybe it was the Land Cruiser gods looking out for me but they're no longer available a few hours after making my appointment and won't be for a while. So going with Falken WildPeak A/T4W 275/60R20 SL instead...

I have a set of the Nitto Terra Grappler G3s (SL) in 275/70/18 on order for my 2025 LC250/1958...

According to everything I've read these should be an easy fit w/o any modifications to the stock/suspension but most of the folks I see here have them on the premium LC trim which I've read is slightly different than the base trim.

Should I be able to run these 275s w/o any rubbing (or contact inside the wheel base)?
Everything I've heard says absolutely no problem. You could even go bigger. This is probably the exact same tire I will be going with in the spring.

Here are some great photos showing off:

Fuel Rush 18 x 9 wheels with a +1 offset.
Kuhmo Road Venture ATs - 265/70/18s

This isn’t my Land Cruiser. These photos were shared by Mark S. in the LC Forum Facebook Group.

This tells me 2 things:

1. Going with a plus 20'ish offset would probably be perfect for what I'm after.

2. Black rims will work with my Meteor Shower. I've been struggling between a titanium/gun metal finish, and black. The stock rims on the standard package seem to be somewhere in the middle.

The tire is on there in the stock size, just not the E load larger version.
Yep-yep, I saw that. That is why I've posted about new size, but not about new tire ;) I just naively assumed that this spreadsheet contains all tire/size combinations somewhere between 32-35" that more or less fit LC (assumption was based on a fact that some other tires are listed in multiple sizes/load ratings 🤷‍♂️).

Anyone running wheels with approximately +20 offset—do you mind sharing pics of your poke?

My OEM wheels have been relegated to snow tire duty, so I’m shopping for summer wheels. Would like to stay at 18” and upgrade to Bead Grip wheels, but Method’s only options are +0 and +18 poke, which is annoying. Can get close to that magic +40 number by downsizing to 17” but seems like it’s a tight fit 😒 Backup plan is the Tacoma wheels, but want to see if the community can assuage my concerns about hitting the fender when the wheel is fully stuffed.

I skimmed all 61 pages of this thread and found a few examples, but they all seemed to be wider tires, so it’s hard to gauge if it’ll be an issue (I probably missed some too)

These are +25 offset. The poke really isn't that bad for me. Lots of folks are after the OEM+ look; for me, if I'm going to spend some money, I don't want it to still look stock lol

From other angles, it looks perfect imo

The rear stuffs just fine

The front very slightly scrapes the inner fender. With a bit of tire wear, that'll go away. Mostly happens when I'm driving really fast down the beach and hit a low point and flex down
