Is the LC 250 truly customizable: Can you change media screen (8" for 12.3") and can you swap headlights (square/round)?

It makes one wonder why a 12.3" screen wasn't part of all Land Cruisers (and Prados) to begin with, instead of an 8" in just one trim level (i.e., 1958).

It seems like such uniformity would've been much simpler and a lot less expensive for Toyota.
Because Toyota wants to incentivize people to spend more money on the higher grades. What they would save in production cost they would lose in more sales going to the 1958.

Seems like a 12” upgrade would be a good upcharge for a 1958. Imagine if your dealer could charge you an extra $1500 for the upgraded screen. I would think at that price they’d surely make some money.

To the OP of this thread, if you can do an easy plug-n-play swap of the headlights, you shouldn't have any problem finding someone here in the forum who'd be willing to trade their square headlights for your round ones.

Hi!!

Is the new Land Cruiser Prado 250 truly customizable? It was certainly advertised this way.

Imagine you have a base model (lets say the 1958 edition) and you want to change the small entrertaiment display from the (super) small 8"to the 12.3", can this be easily done? Are there function issues given the lack of accessories? can this even be done without the large driver information display?

Can you switch out the round headlights for square ones (and vice versa) without major changes? Will they fit? Same wiring?

Thanks,
JP
You can swap the headlights quite easily - there's a video on YouTube on how to do it.
I can link you if you want?

I was looking into the console upgrade for my 1958 - really want to upgrade this one mine!
let me know - cheers
J
