Toyota Landcruiser 150 BMW 640
Hi, Gent's. last week, I bought a Toyota Landcruiser for my wife. It's 3-door automatic, 2.8 diesel, 2018, with 98000 km on a clock. The car is built in Japan for the USA market Drow from the Czech Republic to France. It was nice the car held the road very well, and the weather was good, Driving in Switzerland is a nightmare and we were 3km before our destination some idiot on a scooter hit our rear bumper. Just a scrunch. For the last 15 years, I have had a BMW, Maintenance, modification and repair myself, so all the tools, diagnostic, and TIS I have. But I don't know anything about Toyota engines. I don't understand why there are 2 environmental systems DPF and AD Blue. +EGR . It seems over-complicated and unnecessary. Usually, I delete EGR and clean the intake manifold and valves. Getting rid of AD Blue looks interesting idea. But first I need the information, and understanding of what I am doing and how it will reflect on the engine. Gent's if you point me in the right direction, where to find the Toyota Landcruiser diagnostic,(I have Launch diagnostic) where to find TIS, and anything related to the car I will be grateful. thanks

Welcome to the forum Lorvig! Congratulations on the vehicle! One correction, if a diesel, it would not be for the USA market, as sadly, we do not have that option here. In France, can you delete the mentioned emissions systems, and not run afoul of environmental regulations?
 
Thanks, VIN saying USA, Switzerland, and something else, I presumed the USA because too many options. My wife lives in a village in the Alps, so nobody will know. I deleted all environment systems in my BMW and went through the control technique without a problem. But the law does not allow this to do. The problem is the remapping engine, to find a specialist very diffcalt.

If you Google "Techstream diagnostic computer " there are many options available. To my knowledge there are two types.

1 - Dedicated Techstream computer with the TIS software etc...... Subscription required.

2 - Teschstream lite, which is the software that you would load on your PC..... Subscription required.

And a 3rd option but not a TIS system is the after market systems. I have and use the Autel system and like it. Once you've purchased the tablet it works stand alone
