Forum suggestion: Change the search word length limit

Love the forum, but the search functionality is very frustrating because it ignores any word under 4 characters. This is soooo limiting here:

• Want to search for K02 photos?
  
  "The search could not be completed because the search keywords were too short, too long, or too common."
  
  
• Want to see what Method 316's look like?
  
  Well, how about every "method" wheel instead, because "The following words were not included in your search because they are too short, too long, or too common: 316"
  
  
• Ok I want to learn about 275 width tires people are using, but I've been burned and know that "275" obviously won't work, so I'll put in each tire permutation starting with "275/60r20":
  
  "The following words were not included in your search because they are too short, too long, or too common: 275"

If there is some setting that could be changed, it would make a world of difference to usability.

Agree. It seems to be baked into the forum software, but I've found it especially frustrating here for exactly those reasons.

Give it a try now. We've installed Elastic Search and it gives us a lot more flexibility. You should be able to search for 2 character strings.
