I just screen shot from video and added notes to it. Instead of watch entire video, this will help me to do the job. Thought it’s also helpful for our folks here so I summarized in 1 photo

Sorry if my writing made you confused
Happy LC to all

Its hard to tell from photo how are you bypassing the sensor and direct to battery neg terminal ? picture looks like it the Neg lead is just added to the others?

You are correct!
Negative/ground cable should be connected to sensor (do not by pass it). I just re attached the correct illustrative photo. Thanks for correcting me!

Can’t wait to see everyone’s setups!
Mission completed ;) DIY destructed and constructed/installed the front bumper + integrated/hidden winch + light bar. It just looks OEM. I am happy with its “perfection” 😜 😜 😜

You may notice on attached photos that I “deleted” (saw off) the dv8 logo at the light bar. I am the design guy who focus on the design details and functions so that logo bothers me ;)

Can you show how you did the hook ups in the engine bay?
Looks really good
I didn’t have time to wire the winch yet.
Should be straightforward stuff.
I will get this cable set from Amazon and follow the diagram (see attached photo) to power the winch directly from rear battery. DO NOT connect it to the positive/hot and negative/ground in the engine bay. They are not enough power as designed

By chances, I attached couple “scary” naked front ends behind the scenes ;)

Looks nice 😎

But I notice you still need to do the premium horn upgrade to get rid of the meep, meep sound 😉

How well will this protect the upper part of the hood? We have a lot of deer in our area and I'm already 1 holy @$%^ and 4 near misses from hitting one. I hear that deer typically go under the car but would like to protect the top as well given the repair costs.

You may need full steel bumper with brush guard. It will be way heavier and change the OEM look of LC

Well a bit of snag running electrical to winch . My local guys won’t touch it . They are afraid it will void warranty for any sensor or other electrical components.
The toyota dealer is looking for a answer from Toyota if they make a factor OEM part for hooking up a winch

If you know / confirm the other way (from Toyota dealer tech) to power the winch, please share to our community.
Appreciate that.

Happy LC to everyone
