I haven’t come across this while skimming the users manual, and I feel like this is a stupid question, but if I were to boost another vehicle (or if I required a boost) do I use the 12V battery in the rear compartment or are there any points in the engine bay to hook up to?

Page 620 covers getting a jump start. There doesn’t appear to be anything on jump starting another vehicle other than don’t use the same terminals you use for getting a jump start.

I personally wouldn’t use my vehicle to jump start another vehicle. I think that a better option is to purchase a NOCO and use that. Just me.

Not just you. I won’t do it either. Buy a NOCO or wait for roadside assistance to to bring one.

When I saw this thread title, I thought to myself, ‘Oh no.. someone else’s LC got stolen’.

I purchased one of the newer tech jumper boxes that use super capacitors vs a battery. I've had to use it on 3-4 occasions to start my LC.......

Since the 12v battery isn’t powering a starter I was wondering if one of those would work on the Land Cruiser. From the manual it sounds like you need to charge the 12v battery as opposed to providing a short high amperage jolt for the starter motor.

It works well for me. I added a pig tail connector to the jumper box, thinking it would be easier to hook up to my pig tail on the LC....... was very easy to hook up, but I forgot about the LC pig tail being protected by a fuse....... which blew in a nano-second......LOL

My co-workers' vehicle and mine sit for a week at a time, and in the winter its not uncommon for it to dip well below -25c for the entire week. I usually carry a booster pack with me, but in the event of not having one, I was curious on how I'd boost the vehicle without it.

Page 623 answers my exact question, thanks for taking the time to reply!

interested in how this works out for you. do you have details on how you affixed it to your battery?
I have an 8g wire running from the unused 200a stud (located under the red plastic cover on the "POS" battery terminal) to a 60a resettable circuit breaker (that I mounted rearward of the jack cradle), from the output of the CB, I attached a 12v pigtail that is used to power various items and accept the input from the solar charger.

I had thought about direct wiring it to the circuit breaker, but having used other solar chargers, I know that in a couple of years it'll probably need replacing and it'll be much easier to just unplug and replace it and should it become damaged I wanted to be able to quickly electrically disconnect it from my system. There are various pics and text on what my mods are on my build page.
