Looking forward to seeing what beers & other libations everyone is enjoying!
I’m a beer guy mostly, but do some alright mixed drinks & enjoy wine as well.

Tonight’s selection is a favorite as I rather like fruited ales & we do live not that far from huckleberry country.

I broke the rules and used a glass. Worth it after a couple hours of moving snow off the garage door slide zone. Tryna protect the ole 250. I don’t think the aluminum hood or the spoiler would appreciate an iceberg.

Looking at your pic in LITS just now with the amount of snow y’all got there, this looks very well earned!

This was last week? I mostly liked it but it was a bit too sweet and a bit too much alcohol for what it was.

I love the glass! Boulevard Brewing is amazing. I hope you got the glass there in person! Cheers!

I did! They offer an awesome tour with plenty of sampling opportunities! KC has become one of my favorite cities, though you wouldn’t immediately think of it as a tourist destination. And of course the obligatory gift shop where I had to buy a set of glasses. Loved their beers & wish I could find them up here. I haven’t managed to yet. It seems even the best shops here are able to fill their shelves with AB & BC products without trucking anything from farther away. Even Sam Adams & Sierra Nevada aren’t on every shelf here.

I live in KC. Next time you're in town let me know. We'll drive the LC there and I'll buy you a beer!

I will definitely do that, thank you for the offer & invite! I didn’t even see your location as MO or pick up on it. As i get older & want to travel more, I’m planning on getting there more frequently than once a decade & need more time to see the surrounding area as well. My trip last fall was to visit dear friends & go to arrowhead. So yeah this was Super Bowl day beer, haha don’t even remember now what I might’ve poured in the cup but it wasn’t Boulevard.

My brother and my wife’s brother (and more importantly our nieces!) all live in KC, we’re in KC every year. There are lots of great beers in Kansas now. Defiance brewing in Hays (on I-70 about half way between KC and Denver) has some terrific beers, although some never make it outside of their tap room. Boulevard is big enough now that we occasionally get their beers in California. And if you ever stop in Hays, Gella’s/LB Brewing is worth a visit.

Years ago someone gave us this bottle cap map. I think it took us three years to fill in? Each cap is a different California brewery. It became challenging to finish because lots of breweries switched to cans only.

Wow that’s just amazing! Yeah most here are can only now. It seems easier I guess to ‘bottle’ & transport. Otherwise we have a local shop that fills growlers with a rotating tap selection.

Thanks for the tip! Yes my goal is to travel by car one day again & Hays does look like a perfect stop between Denver & KC.

Everything Boulevard brews is top tier. Tank 7 is undefeated. 🍻

Oh yeah Tank 7 was definitely one of the samples we got to enjoy! Loved it! Did not taste like 8.5% which could’ve made for a dangerous afternoon 😆

Tonight’s beer. Probably overall my favorite beer right now, but it’s not a drink every day beer. Years ago we were on a trip in Montana and stopped at the local combination laundromat/bar/bowling alley/arcade and one other thing I forget, and the bartender recommended this to my wife. I had a moose drool which was quite disappointing in comparison. I had one of these next. This one was split with my wife because the local store only had one.

Tonight’s selection: In Another Castle. Peach Mango milkshake IPA. Bit different from another mango peach ale I normally buy & haven’t shared yet.
