Auto Loan Interest Rates

I used Navy Fed for the longest time, switched to Pen Fed for a slightly better rate and last loan I got from the local Credit Union...... I showed them what Pen Fed was offering and they matched the rate.

Life changed and the FE will be loan free.

I was planning on Navy Fed. Just checked penfed and it's .05% lower. I'll probably stick with Navy Fed since I do a majority of my other banking through them.

I will use PenFed when the LC shows up.
They mailed a check to me, took half a week or so, so I thought I needed to make sure and have everything completed before the LC arrived โ€ฆ little did I know, now the risk is that the check expires ๐Ÿ˜‚

Same issue here! My Navy Fed check expires on 7/20 so I'm hoping the LC gets off hold before then ๐Ÿคฃ

So what happens if the check expires? Is it another 10 days to get the check?

Also, how long is the check good for?

I did! First time ever using them. I have the paper check for the financed amount sitting on my kitchen table waiting for the LC ๐Ÿ˜‚
Man. Looks like weโ€™ll be waiting a while. Letโ€™s one shot that check at the casino ๐Ÿ˜

I think in my case I just run down to the local branch and grab a new one. I just don't want the rate to change because of it.

They told me that my check was good for 30 days, though it doesnโ€™t seem to indicate an expiration anywhere on it.

Just checked PenFed rates and currently Navy Fed beats them especially if youโ€™re ex military (.25 discount for military). Also, PenFed requires you use their car buying service to get the best rates.

Will there be any sort of finance promotion from Toyota this year? Maybe Toyotathon later this year? Not sure when Toyota does the big incentives.

I purchased my Trail Dust mid on Monday. Financed through USAA. 5.64% for 60 months. Excellent credit.

I just sealed the deal on my LC premium and went with Navy Fed for 4.54% on 72 month. That rate included a .25 discount for 25+ years membership.

Navy Federal Credit Union offered me 60 months @4.49% last Friday. Overnighted a check for Saturday AM delivery at no charge as well. The dealer didn't even attempt to compete with that rate. Very hassle free, slick process.

To get a $500 military rebate I had to finance through Toyota financial. Before I even made the first payment I refinance through Navy Federal for 60 months at 4.99. For refinancing through Navy Federal, Navy Federal gave me a $200 bonus.

Just refi'd as well. Down from 5.89% 72MO to 4.79% 72MO. From truist to Navy Fed. Doesn't save a ton monthly, but saves a few grand over the course of the loan.

Auto loan rates are typically set based on 5 year Treasury yields. They have dropped substantially in the past few weeks with the markets selling off and anticipation of the Fed beginning to lower rates. Should start to see even better deals on auto loans if the trend continues.
