Anyone purchasing below MSRP?

I got mine a few weeks ago for about $5k off sticker. Dealer said "someone made a mistake when they put the price online"...whatevs, I'm good with it. I'll use the delta to add aftermaket armor and tires/wheels

I have a deposit in for a FE at a local dealership w no markups, w a 56 day quality control hold which was notified as of 5/17. (Ouch). I saw an article that said some dealerships are selling 2024 LC’s below MSRP up to 5k below. Anyone encounter this? And any for FE’s? If so, were they only applicable to unclaimed LC’s on dealership lots or for previous held deposits?

Also, anyone have any luck negotiating anything when you came in to pick your LC up? Thanks!!
I originally bought a 2024 1958 in July 2024 and put grapplers on it and changed the black leather add-on to cognac. After about six months, I saw a trail dust LC on the lot and decided to upgrade. The dealer added on $11k for a lift kit and 35 inch tires and a couple other things. I have known my salesman for over 20 years and the family and extended family has purchased/leased over 25 cars with him in that timeframe. I was able to get $6k off the add-ons which put the final @ $83k. Considering the demand for land cruisers in San Antonio, I believe that I got a good price. It may seem high, but I did not pay the MSRP or the market adjustment for the LC.

cool which lift?

Paid 61,500 on a 66,5xx Land Cruiser trim in Underground back in February. This was at Toyota of Fox Lake in Illinois, dealt with Jeff G and quite possibly the easiest transaction and car purchasing experience in my life. Quite a bit of port options, minus Premium and 20" wheels.

oh, you just have to look at your shocks and Upper Control Arms to see the brand!
OMG I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! ReadyLift Suspensions. Wishing you the best with it. I have no complaints. It’s a smooth ride - maybe a little better than my previous 4Runner special venture withe TRD suspension.

I too believe "a deals a deal" and I am happy to pay what we agreed upon. But you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm going ask! That being said I'm 99.9% sure the answer will be a resounding "NO".

I was a little offended by the salesman when he triumphally informed me he had been authorized to give me a free hat for the QC inconvenience. I told him he could keep it. Some people need to hone their skills and learn to read the room.

(edit) Ha! I called my salesman to see if there was any movement (sadly no) and I asked "are there any plans to sweeten the price because of this QC delay" He said "let me check" which i'm figuring as being put on hold with an answer of "No". To my surprise he came back and said the dealer would match my deposit of $1000.00......... Bonus!
I got a cheesy hat as well. Did not think to be snotty and refuse it for a $72K car purchase. Never wear the hat.

was just offered a LC with premium. blue with grey top / java interior. It is on the ground near Houston, TX. It has PIO up to $70,838 and they are adding $2K in dealer add-ons. (window tint, nitrogen filled tires, lo jack protection, interior / exterior environmental protection package, all season floor mats) $73,187 pre tax. $77,878.43. At first wanted $86,415.23 out the door. LOL
Java interiors were difficult to get when I got mine (black leather) last August. I guess they are trickling in now. I replaced the cheap stock seats with Katzkins after the dog clawed the netting on the back seat. Your price sounds about right given the price increase for 25's.

Here in the SF Bay Area discounted units are hard to come by. I’ve been looking for a few weeks and all i saw was msrp/markup on them. Used one’s, 2024’s selling for high 60’s/low 70’s and one First Edition being listed for 78k. I had an offer on a 25 with an accident and 4k miles for just under 65k and another 25 with 5k miles but no SDM. As I wanted the SDM, I didn’t take its 65k offer either.

Glad I waited because I found the heritage/greyscape with premium with black leather(not softex) today at a similar price. I can’t say exactly, but I bought it from Capitol Toyota in San Jose, Ca and it was a great experience. No pressure and no hassles. Everything promised on the phone/text was as expected when I showed up. Jonathan, Sales Director was great to work with. He’s the person I made the tentative deal with on the phone.

Anyway, I checked with approximately 14 dealers int he area that had 25’s with SDM and they weren’t dealing at all. It’s a sellers market here so I feel fortunate to have randomly found and talked with Jonathan and to have gotten what I wanted.
