Upper Sardine Lake 4x4
Latest trip in the Sierra Buttes area.

Baby got her first belly rub in upper Sardine Lake 4x4 trail.

Not too bad where/when we were taking pictures πŸ˜‰, got a bit sporty later on a few spots, where we were more concerned about getting the puppy through without too many belly rubs 4x4 style, as opposed to taking pictures...
Truck performed flawlessly. Loved the underbody cameras in those tight spots, but it takes some getting used to. I still had my girl spotting just in case. Also, loving the new Nitto Terra Grapplers in 275/70 R18 SL. Quiet in pavement and felt very confident and tough in these slippery, sharp shale rocks.
I had a video to share, but apparently, no matter how much I cut it down it is too big to share πŸ™„. I'll have to figure this out later..

King's Canyon & Sequoia National Parks
Getting dusty in recent trip to these combined gems of a park. The unusually warm colors on the photos are not from a filter but rather a side effect from the smoke of the horribly-named "Happy" fire. While we were driving back from the end of the road in King's Canyon, the fire was raging right next to the road and we had to nervously wait while a firefighting crew cleared a fallen tree, still on fire, that we watched ourselves topple onto the road...

is "Trail Dust" the same as "Tanami Taupe" in Australia? are there colour codes to compare against? I've had a few people ask me what colour my car is. I'd much rather say Tanami Taupe. I crossed that epic desert in another Landcruiser many moons ago.

Has anyone seen a Trail Dust with clear aluminum wheels? Black wheels seem to be the safe choice, but I'm thinking of going a different route. Would love to see if anyone else has done it so I can determine if it's a bad idea or not :)

The color code is 5C8, and should be the same

I would agree that trail dust has the most subtle metallic in it. From a distance you don't notice it, but up close it adds some dimension to it.

It's like I finally belong here. A sale fell through at a local dealer and the sales guy called me up this morning, seems like he really wanted it gone before the end of the month. Tacoma wheels are already on order. (Anyone looking to buy a 2014 FJ Cruiser TTUE MT? :ROFLMAO:)

Some fine photos here! Thanks all for sharing them, great looking Cruisers!

Full front PPF and ceramic coat, finally done. A shame to have to take it out on these mucky winter roads. πŸ˜‚

But the ceramic full cure takes sometime no? I was told when they did mine not to wash it for a month.... Shame to take it out into the muck and have it destroy j the brand new coating before it cures properly....

They told me it was good after a few days.
