1958 - 275 70 R18 change in mpg

Who has ko3s in stock for the 1958?

Discount tire and a few others don't have them.

I like to pick them up as well

I got them at discount tires. Mine are E, unsure if you are looking for a different rating than E

When I check the website in California, they only have 20-in wheels and not

18s for the 1958

Yea their website is messed up. Don’t select the 1958 and use the Base as selection, then select other tires below and you can find the 275/70-18

Thanks. I tried that but when I select base those tires don't come up.

This is the only thing that comes up.

You have to select ‘see more tire sizes’ at the bottom to find the bigger size . That tool only work to replace the OEM size

I was looking at Discount Tire as well, but for Dura-Tracs. They had the 265/70/18, but when I searched for the 275s the site showed me the LT version with the E load rating. The 275s also were NOT extreme snow rated.

I have the LT E rated 275 KO3 and they are 3 Peaks snow rated

Did you do the spare tire as well?

I didn’t as they only had 4 tires the day I installed them, but it fit with no issue

I have 275/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT/4 and was getting around 14 mpg on a recent road trip to Colorado.

That was with the small front lower air dams removed and with a mountain bike mounted to the back. Will be taking another road trip in a month or two. Will do that with the air dams reinstalled and without the bike rack.

Regardless, no idea how you guys in this thread are getting mid-20s.

I’ve got 275/70R18 KO3s. Running average is 19.4. Lost a bit over 1 MPG from the stock tires.

My dash says 21.5 but at fill up with calculator I am getting actual 18.5. FE with 275/70/18. 600 miles on odometer and cruising at 73 with big passes to go over.

I’m averaging (with heavy-ish AT tires):
15-17MPG city
19-22MPG 2-lane highway (50-65mph)
17-19MPG interstate (70-85 mph)
45-60MPG down the mountain

My Ram rebel pickup came with wrangler duratracs as stock and they got really loud at 12k. Had to get another tire. Its a common theme with those tires just google it. I have had good luck with KO2 and Toyo for quiet ride quality.

I dont trust any of these numbers or the ones on mine. Im seeing MPG all over the map depending on when you reset to 0. Im gonna start hand calculating mine this week for first time.

I did that for ~100,000 miles when I bought a new Ford Transit 350. The calculated MPG at the pump was alway 1-2 MPG worse than what the computer displayed on the dash.

I’m not going down that road with Miss Daisy. Like so many other things on this forum, I am throwing those OCD worry beads right out the window.
