Zero issues, they just mount in different places. Rock rails mount to the frame and the side steps mount to the body.
The person with the rock rails will have to include the mounting bolts. The bolts for the side steps are already mounted on the body from the factory.
Its a real head-scratcher how they allocate these vehicles. I'm in the Edmonton area and saw one in my neighbourhood on August 29, I had one in my driveway by September 4.
A quick check of local dealerships are showing quite a few in stock. Strange
My co-workers' vehicle and mine sit for a week at a time, and in the winter its not uncommon for it to dip well below -25c for the entire week. I usually carry a booster pack with me, but in the event of not having one, I was curious on how I'd boost the vehicle without it.

I'm all for objectivity, and no vehicle is perfect, but directly comparing the 250 to a 200/300 series is an uneducated approach. Some people just need the clicks/engagement for that sweet ad revenue I guess
I haven’t come across this while skimming the users manual, and I feel like this is a stupid question, but if I were to boost another vehicle (or if I required a boost) do I use the 12V battery in the rear compartment or are there any points in the engine bay to hook up to?
Are those the ones with the bronze lettering and trim for the Tacoma Trail Hunter? I think it’s an important distinction to make as some people will prefer one color over the other
Mine are just black with silver lettering (part: PT998-35221-3S) and I believe are for the 1794 Tundra
No recommendations but I’ve been agonizing over what snow tires to get. I think I am down to the Wildpeaks or maybe the KO3? Are the wildpeaks noticeably louder than stock tires on dry pavement?
Oh my last vehicle (2002 Sequoia) I ran Hakkapallitas for 4 years straight (summer and winter) with...
I found it, but not at a reasonable price from a US seller on eBay. Looks like a dealer’s account and it appears out of stock at the moment, but I’m sure there’s still lots around.
I had read here some dealers in Canada have this part VIN locked, so that’s why I went eBay
Ebay
Correct. The diameter of the metal keeper ring is about 1/16” smaller than the inner of the new caps; it doesn’t snap tightly in place like it does on the original. That said, the new caps fit very securely with an audible, reassuring ‘snap’ sound when it seats
Used a trim removal tool to pop cap off, and the new one just snaps right in. The diameter of the metal ring inside the original cap is a little smaller than the replacement cap, so it can’t be effectively reused
