Lane tracing has its place, but I wouldnāt use any system on curvy roads. Itās fantastic on long, mostly straight stretches of freeway. The traffic jam assistant can also be very useful.
You could get lucky and the weather might be fine, but there are so many areas it could get bad I also couldnāt recommend making that drive in December with any of the stock LC tires. I wouldnāt do it without some at least 3 peak rated.
This chip shortage has been affecting lots of different Toyota vehicles. When we bought my wife a Grand Highlander in February it only came with one key. Sold it in July and still only had one key. The shortage is with a supplier Toyota was using, and from what Iāve heard theyāre changing...
Got it, youāre one of those tough guys that resorts to sexist comments when all the macho BS fails you.
Impressive how you managed to mess up quoting a reply, make yourself look like a fool and insult your own wife in one post.
You literally said that the attention monitor is a āterrible feature that makes it much more likely Iāll crash.ā Unless Iām missing something the only thing the attention monitor does is make a little chime. So logical reasoning leads us to it is a little chime thatās scaring you into almost...
Are you using the adaptive cruise on roads that arenāt freeways? Thats not something I personally do, so Iāve never experienced that behavior in any of my Toyotas. My wife and I did have a Mazda CX9 that had the worst emergency braking Iāve ever experienced, almost got us rear ended a couple...
I think anyone that fights the safety features is probably who needs them the most. If a small beep or chime is going to make you āmore likely to crashā you maybe shouldnāt be on the road. I donāt always love some of the functions (auto braking stopping me halfway into my garage because it sees...
This is the first vehicle Iāve owned that got this much attention. There werenāt many around Denver when I first got it, and it seemed like everywhere I stopped someone was asking about it or telling me it was the first theyād seen in person. It was even crazier in Moab, I had at least 2 people...
Oh I know, Iāve seen them. I think the long term plan is probably some of the CBI sliders that are also a step (mostly for my daughter), but in the mean time wouldnāt mind have the factory ones for a little extra piece of mind in the mountains.
Yeah I assumed that most Colorado people are going to want sliders, but Iāve seen so many posts of people trying to get running boards for sliders I figured itās at least worth a shot š .
Just figured Iād throw this out to see if anyone is interested - Iāve got the illuminated running boards from the LCLC Premium trim and would love to trade them for factory sliders if anyone is trying to get rid of theirs for factory running boards. Iām in the Denver area, but would be willing...
Iāve never been able to get comfortable in a Honda, so I have no experience there. My wifeās 22 Highlander had TSS 2.5 and I thought it was pretty terrible, the adaptive cruise was jerky if someone pulled in front of you closer than the following distance. The lane keeping/tracing sucked. I only...
Iām not sure about the rear, I got bolts with the dealer frame on mine. What I did find interesting is the front and rear holes use a different size bolt.
This isnāt an LC specific thing, this is the same TSS 3.0 system thatās in many of their other cars. Maybe Iām just used to Toyotas at this point, but I find most of the things people get worked up about to be a non issue. The old TSS 2.5 system was SIGNIFICANTLY worse than 3.0. Having now...
The auto dimming mirror on my LCLC Premium does that as well sometimes. In my experience it seems like it sometimes confuses sunlight with bright headlights, and then gets so dark with the rear tinted glass itās too dark for a minute or two before figuring its life out.
I know the 1958 doesnāt come with the Rigid fogs that the higher trims do, but is the space the same? Could you just plug and play the lights from one of those trims if you could get them?
Hello fellow Colorado LC owner. Lovely choice on color/interior color. That wouldāve been my first choice if I could have made myself wait to get one. Sounds like weāve got some similar long term plans for our LCās, but Iāll probably need to keep my backseats for a while and go rooftop tent...
