    Not sure about the LTA

Lane tracing has its place, but I wouldnā€™t use any system on curvy roads. Itā€™s fantastic on long, mostly straight stretches of freeway. The traffic jam assistant can also be very useful.

Show us your LITS (LandCruisers in the snow)

No on the chains, I put a set of KO3ā€™s on the LC and Blizzacks will be going on our other car.

Show us your LITS (LandCruisers in the snow)

You could get lucky and the weather might be fine, but there are so many areas it could get bad I also couldnā€™t recommend making that drive in December with any of the stock LC tires. I wouldnā€™t do it without some at least 3 peak rated.

New owner and 400-mile trip back home

Once again, this is a Toyota wide issue. What good is a key thatā€™s already coded to a specific car to a dealership?

New owner and 400-mile trip back home

This chip shortage has been affecting lots of different Toyota vehicles. When we bought my wife a Grand Highlander in February it only came with one key. Sold it in July and still only had one key. The shortage is with a supplier Toyota was using, and from what Iā€™ve heard theyā€™re changing...

    Thoughts on Driver Attention Function?

Keep trying to move the goal posts, but your response was about the driver attention monitor that makes a beep when it canā€™t see your face.

    Thoughts on Driver Attention Function?

Got it, youā€™re one of those tough guys that resorts to sexist comments when all the macho BS fails you. Impressive how you managed to mess up quoting a reply, make yourself look like a fool and insult your own wife in one post.

    Thoughts on Driver Attention Function?

You literally said that the attention monitor is a ā€œterrible feature that makes it much more likely Iā€™ll crash.ā€ Unless Iā€™m missing something the only thing the attention monitor does is make a little chime. So logical reasoning leads us to it is a little chime thatā€™s scaring you into almost...

    Thoughts on Driver Attention Function?

Are you using the adaptive cruise on roads that arenā€™t freeways? Thats not something I personally do, so Iā€™ve never experienced that behavior in any of my Toyotas. My wife and I did have a Mazda CX9 that had the worst emergency braking Iā€™ve ever experienced, almost got us rear ended a couple...

    Thoughts on Driver Attention Function?

I think anyone that fights the safety features is probably who needs them the most. If a small beep or chime is going to make you ā€œmore likely to crashā€ you maybe shouldnā€™t be on the road. I donā€™t always love some of the functions (auto braking stopping me halfway into my garage because it sees...

Not used to the attention this thing is getting

I havenā€™t been approached by anyone here in Denver since probably early September, but late July and most of August it got a lot of attention.

Not used to the attention this thing is getting

This is the first vehicle Iā€™ve owned that got this much attention. There werenā€™t many around Denver when I first got it, and it seemed like everywhere I stopped someone was asking about it or telling me it was the first theyā€™d seen in person. It was even crazier in Moab, I had at least 2 people...

šŸ’µ For Sale Running Boards for Sliders - Denver, CO

Oh I know, Iā€™ve seen them. I think the long term plan is probably some of the CBI sliders that are also a step (mostly for my daughter), but in the mean time wouldnā€™t mind have the factory ones for a little extra piece of mind in the mountains.

šŸ’µ For Sale Running Boards for Sliders - Denver, CO

Yeah I assumed that most Colorado people are going to want sliders, but Iā€™ve seen so many posts of people trying to get running boards for sliders I figured itā€™s at least worth a shot šŸ˜….

šŸ’µ For Sale Running Boards for Sliders - Denver, CO

Just figured Iā€™d throw this out to see if anyone is interested - Iā€™ve got the illuminated running boards from the LCLC Premium trim and would love to trade them for factory sliders if anyone is trying to get rid of theirs for factory running boards. Iā€™m in the Denver area, but would be willing...

Adaptive Cruise Control - Speed Less Than Target

Iā€™ve never been able to get comfortable in a Honda, so I have no experience there. My wifeā€™s 22 Highlander had TSS 2.5 and I thought it was pretty terrible, the adaptive cruise was jerky if someone pulled in front of you closer than the following distance. The lane keeping/tracing sucked. I only...

Rear license plate bolts. I gotta be missing something

Iā€™m not sure about the rear, I got bolts with the dealer frame on mine. What I did find interesting is the front and rear holes use a different size bolt.

Adaptive Cruise Control - Speed Less Than Target

This isnā€™t an LC specific thing, this is the same TSS 3.0 system thatā€™s in many of their other cars. Maybe Iā€™m just used to Toyotas at this point, but I find most of the things people get worked up about to be a non issue. The old TSS 2.5 system was SIGNIFICANTLY worse than 3.0. Having now...

Do you somehow have your interior illumination turned down? The dash and HVAC controls are all illuminated and incredibly easy to use.

    2024 landcruiser 1958 sold

Same on my LC Premium. Iā€™ve never experienced anything close to ā€œerraticā€ shifting.

Adaptive Cruise Control - Speed Less Than Target

Itā€™s a Toyota thing, donā€™t worry about it. My wifeā€™s 22 Highlander and 24 Grand Highlander did the same thing.

LC - Auto Hybrid Engine Shut Off - Not Engaging

The battery is pretty small, I feel like it would fully deplete too quickly to make that work.

    1958 Rear View Mirror

The auto dimming mirror on my LCLC Premium does that as well sometimes. In my experience it seems like it sometimes confuses sunlight with bright headlights, and then gets so dark with the rear tinted glass itā€™s too dark for a minute or two before figuring its life out.

Coloring matching fog light cover & swapping out fog lights

I know the 1958 doesnā€™t come with the Rigid fogs that the higher trims do, but is the space the same? Could you just plug and play the lights from one of those trims if you could get them?

    New member from Colorado

Hello fellow Colorado LC owner. Lovely choice on color/interior color. That wouldā€™ve been my first choice if I could have made myself wait to get one. Sounds like weā€™ve got some similar long term plans for our LCā€™s, but Iā€™ll probably need to keep my backseats for a while and go rooftop tent...
