Howdy all, I'm from the Johnson City/Bristol corner of Tennessee. :)
EDIT: This isn't meant to be a "I'm new to the forum post", just the first post in the newly added Regional Forum section. ;)
In my experience with multiple Toyota vehicles, the onboard computer guesstimated MPG is never accurate... I rely on the old fashion method using the Fuelly App, cost is $7.99/year and totally worth every penny plus some.
Well, I don't think I could possibly list them all, but here are a few... I think I've owned around 60+ vehicles... These are not in ownership order... I may be off a year or two on a couple of these, but this list is pretty accurate as far as the ones I can easily recall.

Our dealer sold us a Bumper-to-Bumper 100k with $0 deductible for $1,000... Afterwards he admitted he sold it too cheap, but he did manage to sneak in 2 other contracts which we caught and got cancelled... Just waiting on the refund on those...

Nope, stock wheels/tires, same with Venza...
I've never owned a vehicle, Toyota or otherwise, that has ever gotten the gas mileage the onboard computer claimed. And that list includes 5 brand new Jeep Wranglers, 5 Toyota Prius, Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, Ford Fusion Hybrid, Ford Explorer, etc.
And I...
If you are basing your fuel mileage off of the onboard computer guesstimate, then your assumed mileage is NOT accurate... You need to manually calculate it every time you fill up. I use Fuelly which does a fantastic job of keeping track of mileage. Look at the last 5-10 fill-up average to get an...
We are in the 18-20mpg range, we live in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, so our commute is hilly (not mountainous). When we drove to Nashville recently, we were at 78mph all the way and still were in the same range, even over flat road areas.
