I have one of bgeorger's trays and it fits perfect. great job, fair price, easy shipping. can't go wrong. I did ask my local Yota dealership about removing the cool box and their reply was "don't go there"...it is connected to the air conditioning unit. I doubt most Yota dealership's will touch...
I just noticed your bike "carrier" set up also. I'm sorting out somethign similar myself. One of the reasons I got rid of my truck for the LC was to keep my bike inside on longer trips.
Nicely done. Looks good. I wonder if you would be willing to write back in a month or so and let us know what changes you see in fuel consumption/avg mph?
Personally I think the stock 20" wheel color looks really good with the meteor shower. I prefer it over the back quite a lot. Personal preference. Have fun with it...
Looks good. I also have meteor shower and was considering the same. Do you have a photo that shows both the center cap and body paint? I also want to get those yellow and blue stripes off the lugs but I think the lugs are zinc coated. Did you remove the blue and yellow lines yet?
In my LCLC with BFG TA KO 2's on 20" wheels I am getting 20-20.2 on short trips around town. No legitimate highway miles accounted for. Was getting 22 with factory street tires.
I was contacted by several Northeast dealers offering me LC's. Every premium package LCLC had 20" wheels. Likewise the LC I ended up with has 20"'s. Turns out I really like them better than the black 18"s but Im not managing for proper off-roading, just gravel/dirt roads.
Anything you can share about the Wescott rack once you install it would be appreciated. It is my top choice but have not ordered yet. Im keen on the ladder too, but it would mean loosing the use of rear window.
Prinsu vs Westcott...that is the question? Anyone have experience that would lend itself to some insight? From images they appear quite similar. My primary function would be to carry long ocean kayaks. I also prefer low profile (minimal height) to minimize wind noise and in consideration of fuel...
If it is the Wescott ladder it stays in position when the rear door opens. But I cannot tell from the photo ... 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Full Length Rear Hatch Ladder - WD
I assume it is supposed to be meteor shower but I have a meteor shower and the color rendering on that image is off. I would say there is no LC color that presents as that photo does.
Hey Jim-Wanted to let you know I am going to keep the running boards on my Lc for now. I went down the running boards/drop step/rock rail rabbit hole and this has me now on the fence about my decision to make a change. I'll reach out to you if I change my mind and in the meantime I hope you find...
Black with meteor shower will look great in my opinion. I don't know when mine was built, but I was on a list for a long time. My dealership gave me semi-regular updates and when the LC got on the boat they give me updates every few days. There was a hold up at the US port where the LC sat for...
Just seeing this and I already wrote back to Jim. Now we have a puzzle. I'll check lead times with local Toyota dealer and circle back on this thread. Im in MA.. In the meantime do you mind sharing why you want to replace?
I'd be happy to give a call to the local dealer and check the ETA on ordering the drop step, then circle back to you in an effort to let you know the lead time.
Im probably removing mine to install the Predator Drop step. I've got about 250 miles on my LC , so hardly used. I wonder about the cost of shipping? Looks like you are in Wisconsin? Happy to talk it through if you like?
Correct, the button does not do anything. Neither does the button to operate the fog lights. There are some electrical glitches I'll need Toyota to deal with.
This attachment is helpful. Thank you. Not only does my cool box take up space, it doesn't actually cool...doesn't turn on. Not very useful in my view.
