Same thing happens to me intermittently and not sure why. No one else is driving and not changing keys so it is not a user thing,
Happens to my wife’s BMW too, so it is not just a Toyota/LC thing.
It was beautiful! Did tons of hiking and the aspens and snow were spectacular!
When I saw your LC, you were already a block away and headed out. Just had to yell to my friends to “check out the car I got” as you turned the corner.
Glad you enjoyed it as much as we did!
I think I might have seen you in Crested Butte over the weekend. I didn’t have my LC, but I saw a black one and was pointing it out to my friends. Fun trip and the snow was nice!
Trying to figure out how to read the settings in the manual vs. the way you implement the settings in the system. My intuition says that all three bars illuminated is “high” and one bar illuminated is “low”. However, the manual is inconsistent as it sometimes lists the sequence as...
Just linked my post on my own deep scratch repair. Not perfect, but worked ok. Meteor shower was tough to blend in because it is metallic.
In my case, it was the tailgate and the body shop wanted to remove all badging and trims and repaint both panels on the hatch. Tried to get a...
Anyone gotten or thought about this one from ZR Tactical? I saw it when someone posted about them in another thread. Comes in black or silver.

Looking for an oil drain pan/transport solution that actually works. I live in California and don’t have a shop or oil storage solution onsite in my garage. I need to be able to cleanly capture the oil when it drains and then transport it to hazardous waste disposal without spilling it on the...
Before I got the LC, I was planning to get an R1S. Passed on my allocation to get the LC instead. I have experience with a Tesla in Boston in winter and that informed my decision as follows:
great car if you have charger when you park at home and at your destination parking spot...
Didn’t know that was an option. Great idea considering how it works. Did you have to use Carista for this or is it in the manual?
I’d be Grateful for the counsel.
Found another thread where someone questioned the manual having a typo and that the manual says the SOC gauge is for the 12 volt, but believing that it is truly the NiMH gauge. Said they put the auxiliary gauge on the same screen as the SOC gauge and saw them tracking differently to verify...
Thought I would start a new thread since this keeps coming up for people. I think I have a decent summary after reading the manual and all the various threads about error messages and the car not starting and being towed.
12 volt battery charge and health is extremely important to make sure...
I am very pleased with the Michelins. I do like the look of the rugged AT tires, but don’t want the road comfort and fuel economy hit right now.
The Michelins did just fine for me off road in Nevada (super steep climbs on decomposing granodiorite…gravel on packed, baby head rocks on hard pack...
Thanks for the advise. The first picture was the initial dent and scrape when it happened. Then I had dent pro do paintless dent removal which straightened it out great. Because the bare metal was still exposed...even after dent pro, I did the touch up using the Chris Fix video technique...
McCloud River Northern California. Birthplace of most rainbow trout worldwide. The McCloud River strain tended to stay in the river system instead of disappearing into the sea to become Steelhead.
I needed it for my gouge on my tailgate after I dropped my bike. No one had it in stock, so I ordered from the dealer I liked and it ships ground from Kentucky. No one will ship to you direct that I found. They called me about a week later when it arrived.
See before and after pictures of...
I install the same way, but I put the flap between the rubber cargo mat and the carpet. Keeps the bottom tucked out if the way and holds it in place a bit better. I love this mat and wish they sold separately so I could get another when mine wears out.
I’m not airing up and down much, but I just run with this Makita portable compressor and a couple batteries on trips. Batteries go forever. Saved me a few times and I use it at home in the shop and for bike maintenance. It is powerful enough to seat the beads on tubeless bike tires and the...
Didn’t check close when I got it, but I bet it was a touch high. Post first oil change, I “think” I am reading a bit high on the stick. Probably due to trying to gauge that exact 0.9 quarts when I poured in the 6th bottle.
The oil is so clear after changing that I am having a helluva time...
