Suggestion: Complete a break-in oil change on your new Land Cruiser

I'm impressed by you guys that can do it with no ramps. Did you use hand or electric tools to put back the skid plate? That was the hardest part for me. Not that it was that hard but I'm not that handy at all.

What are these panel stickers on my rear door? Does anyone else have these?

What are these panel stickers on my rear door? I'm not sure if its some form of protection the dealer installed or if its some protection from the factory/shipping that is meant to be removed. Does anyone else have this? I don't feel like it ads much protection and the edge just collects dirt.

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

Mine are called Rhino Ramps. I think I got them at auto zone a couple of years back. I've seen them sold at Tractor Supply, Walmart and some other places that have auto gear.

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

Just did my first/break-in oil change and installed a Fumoto oil valve. I'm honestly not the most handy person or mechanically inclined but I have done oil changes on my old car and had most of the tools so I felt comfortable doing it myself. Tools used: Ramps 3/8 in ratchet 12mm socket for...

Suggestion: Complete a break-in oil change on your new Land Cruiser

From another thread: Found in another thread this is the engine model the LC uses. Thread '2024 Land Cruiser Engine' 2024 Land Cruiser Engine Based on my search of other Toyotas that use that engine and checking the Fumoto website, it looks like the LC would use the F103N or one of the F133...

First mod on your Land Cruiser?

That's handy. Did you make that yourself?

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

Car Care Nut did it on his personal Lexus and he seems to know what he's talking about. He didn't mention special additives. Another youtuber "Motor Oil Geek" also did it on his own Toyota and explained why with an actual oil sample analysis.

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

Thanks. I did not see this anywhere in the owner's manual and I even searched the PDF version. Is there a maintenance manual you are referring to? I certainly believe you, just thought I'd ask.

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

Thanks for the write up! I was confused when I got under the car the other day and it looked completely different from the other pictures in this thread.

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

Getting ready to do my 500 mile break in change. Does anyone know the torque specs of the skid plate bolts? I have the basic skid plate not the upgraded one you find in the FE.

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

I don’t see any of that being an issue as clean oil is better than dirty oil, hands down. The filter the lc uses is pretty common so I’d imagine they’d have an equivalent if not the original part. I picked one up at Walmart.

How long did it take from when you placed deposit?

It took about 10 days from when I put my deposit to driving my LC 1958 home. Of course they told me something like "at least 3 months" when I put the deposit down. Never take a dealer's word for anything. I don't know if they're being shady or don't know what they're talking about. They want...

    Jack Points

The pictures in the owner's manual are unclear to me. Where exactly are the jack points in the 2024 LC? If anyone has some actual photos that would be helpful. Thank you. :)

Oil and Filter Change, easy peasy.

I had one of these on my Subaru Forester. It was great. I got the one with the longer valve and attached plastic tubing for no mess - no tool oil changes. Just got me a 1958 and looking to put one when I do my first oil change. Not sure what size to get though. The 2024 LC isnt listed on...
