Ah. So if your truck is lifted, the whole 'fitting 35" tires" needs to be qualified with the fact that the truck is lifted. Completely different scenario than stock suspension.
Did you have the other tire in the air for the 'fully compressed' shot? Your tire is ~0.5" larger diameter than mine, and my 285/70r18s stuff up inside the top of the wheel well when fully compressed (and would first hit the fender flare with a lesser-offset wheel). My impression is that the...
Former helicopter pilot, and the Bell 407 was the first turbine non-JetRanger/LongRanger aircraft that I flew back in the day, a much more capable (and modern) aircraft. The first serial number I flew/got checked out in later ended up crashing (mechanical) down in Texas while a crew was looking...
Had mine for about a month now (from Stevinson West), and surprised I haven't yet seen you rolling about town; in fact I've not even seen a Heritage Blue in person yet! What kind of mileage are you getting?
I've noticed that I can actively feel the cooling more on the seatback than on the...
I would guess another 1/4" to 3/8" diameter would fit; it might barely–barely!– rub, but once you had 10k on the tires they'd be fine. If you really want that tire I'd flip that coin; my 4Runner rubbed–barely!–at full lock in some circumstances, and after 9 years of 'rubbing' it never wore...
Anecdotally speaking, it could be that the Land Cruiser has a programmed 'break-in' mode that kicks off around 1000 miles on the odometer. Several have noted such a possibility, and I know from my experience that somewhere around 950 miles my LCP started using the hybrid motor differently (i.e...
I agree with AlphaPuppy, the logo is hideous, and should be way more understated. Perhaps you should contact them and maybe you could be their guinea pig and maybe get a few bucks off.
It will not fit, although one YT video jammed it in there and secured it without seating it fully up against the 'ceiling' (then bitched about how low the spare hangs down, if I recall). A 275/70R18 will (barely) fit.
[EDIT: I chose to roll the dice and put a 275 for spare... hopefully if I...
Re: Rear Diff Skidplate, my local parts department said not in system, probably initially reserved for port installs until some future time. Didn't know if same as Tacoma, but I'd guess that black piece in center is different for the LC (since it didn't fit for @turbo8).
That's exactly why I set Trip A to show Distance and Avg MPH, which gives me an idea of how much city/offroad vs freeway driving I did (approximately). I used to track time in the 4Runner so that I could calculate this.
Thanks for all this info, I left on a trip the day after, so wasn't able to monitor this, some great solutions here!
Has anyone mounted anything to the slanted sides of the FE rack? The stock holes/slots look like they were designed for something specific, and yet I'm a bit wary of how much...
Hey Thomas, welcome to the forums! How does installing your product(s) affect the vehicle's stock articulation? Does it limit how much the suspension can droop? I assume you have some numbers for this (since it's easy to measure), I'd appreciate you providing the before/after measurements.
Bummer about the old ride, so many cars now get totaled for stupid parts issues. My wife grew up in Scottsbluff, make sure to get yourself a Runza while you're there!
It is worth a shot. Just don't expect to use the rock rails as a step, they're tucked in pretty tight! Wish there were more slider options, guess I'll wait on RSG to get them going...
