Fitting 35s with no rubbing on compression

Ah. So if your truck is lifted, the whole 'fitting 35" tires" needs to be qualified with the fact that the truck is lifted. Completely different scenario than stock suspension.

Fitting 35s with no rubbing on compression

Did you have the other tire in the air for the 'fully compressed' shot? Your tire is ~0.5" larger diameter than mine, and my 285/70r18s stuff up inside the top of the wheel well when fully compressed (and would first hit the fender flare with a lesser-offset wheel). My impression is that the...

Good luck with that last part. If you find that tire, let us all know!

And why is that? Genuinely curious.

    1958 - 275 70 R18 change in mpg

285/70r18s do not rub under any condition (I have Toyo Open Country, not one of the 'smaller' 285s), so 275s certainly won't.

    What’s your name mean?

Former helicopter pilot, and the Bell 407 was the first turbine non-JetRanger/LongRanger aircraft that I flew back in the day, a much more capable (and modern) aircraft. The first serial number I flew/got checked out in later ended up crashing (mechanical) down in Texas while a crew was looking...

    Cooled seats performance?

Had mine for about a month now (from Stevinson West), and surprised I haven't yet seen you rolling about town; in fact I've not even seen a Heritage Blue in person yet! What kind of mileage are you getting? I've noticed that I can actively feel the cooling more on the seatback than on the...

    TRD Land Cruiser?

My stupidly `named’ LCLC performs way better out of the box than any TRD Pro (even my KDSS-built version).

LCP offroad tests, checking for 285 tire rub at full flex (video)

I would guess another 1/4" to 3/8" diameter would fit; it might barely–barely!– rub, but once you had 10k on the tires they'd be fine. If you really want that tire I'd flip that coin; my 4Runner rubbed–barely!–at full lock in some circumstances, and after 9 years of 'rubbing' it never wore...

    TRD 17 inch wheel fitment.

What does that mean, too much negative offset? More importantly to those considering the wheels, did the calipers have enough clearance?

    Roof Racks and MPG

Anecdotally speaking, it could be that the Land Cruiser has a programmed 'break-in' mode that kicks off around 1000 miles on the odometer. Several have noted such a possibility, and I know from my experience that somewhere around 950 miles my LCP started using the hybrid motor differently (i.e...

Bummer, man, sorry to hear. Out of curiosity, did you have the digital key set up?

    Rago Fabrication Bumper

I agree with AlphaPuppy, the logo is hideous, and should be way more understated. Perhaps you should contact them and maybe you could be their guinea pig and maybe get a few bucks off.

🛠️ What Have You Done To Your LC250 Today?

Oh jeez, I thought I escaped this getting away from the 4Runner crowd. [eyeroll]

    285/70/r18 spare tire.

I talked with my offroad shop in detail about it, and it doesn't sound like a big concern for the few miles it might be driven after a flat.

    285/70/r18 spare tire.

It will not fit, although one YT video jammed it in there and secured it without seating it fully up against the 'ceiling' (then bitched about how low the spare hangs down, if I recall). A 275/70R18 will (barely) fit. [EDIT: I chose to roll the dice and put a 275 for spare... hopefully if I...

    Skid plate

Re: Rear Diff Skidplate, my local parts department said not in system, probably initially reserved for port installs until some future time. Didn't know if same as Tacoma, but I'd guess that black piece in center is different for the LC (since it didn't fit for @turbo8).

Number of miles travelled and remaining miles until empty count is way off

That's exactly why I set Trip A to show Distance and Avg MPH, which gives me an idea of how much city/offroad vs freeway driving I did (approximately). I used to track time in the 4Runner so that I could calculate this.

T-Slot hardware solutions for the FE OEM rack - Is anyone putting anything up there???

Thanks for all this info, I left on a trip the day after, so wasn't able to monitor this, some great solutions here! Has anyone mounted anything to the slanted sides of the FE rack? The stock holes/slots look like they were designed for something specific, and yet I'm a bit wary of how much...

    Introduction - Radflo Shocks

Hey Thomas, welcome to the forums! How does installing your product(s) affect the vehicle's stock articulation? Does it limit how much the suspension can droop? I assume you have some numbers for this (since it's easy to measure), I'd appreciate you providing the before/after measurements.
