Wonder how this will change once the 6th Gen 4Runner has been out for a bit?
That has driven me nuts in our RAV4 Prime for years, and nothing has solved it. My wife doesn't really drive the LC much so there hasn't been any need to change the position significantly, but it certainly hasn't returned all the way to the bottom the way the RAV4 does.
I believe the HUD is...
The LC250 has no 'piped-in' engine sounds like in the Tundra and Tacoma, and presumably the impending 6th Gen 4Runner. There is apparently noise cancellation, and I'd love to be able to turn it off to hear the difference.
So far they have been fantastic, but haven't had them in snow yet. They honestly drive mostly unlike an "E" rated tire, and I run them at 39 psi. Great on road, great offroad, don't feel stiff or harsh at all.
I could have opted for the Falken Wildpeak AT4s in "C", but they were heavier than...
I was suspect of Toyota SS 2.0 in our RAV4 Prime, but learned the system's idiosyncrasies, and learned the value of having most of the systems turned on. SS 3.0 is significantly better, and can be configured a variety of ways to suit a driver's needs. If you do a lot of highway driving, you'd be...
Well, you were able to figure it out, I wonder why TRDjon is taking his LC to the dealer to deal with it (and investigate some squeaks and rattles, lol). Bet he sells it as soon as he has his hands on a 4Runner.
[And, to the OP's question, we did set this up successfully in the LC following the...
I think OP is talking about the fairly-loud (with the door open) 'wind down' sound that we also hear from our RV4 Prime. Has to have something to do with the hybrid system, but haven't looked into exactly what causes it.
Although the engine may kick on in the situation described above, the actual engine braking in the LC250 is minimal to practically non-existent (go try it). For towing, it is not optimal, for sure. Even off-road, there were times when I wondered what the vehicle was going to do when in 1st gear...
Not sure that answers the OP's question, but you are certainly 'on it'! Do you work for DV8?

As far as the 'rear' plastic skid, if I were wanting a front skid plate due to wanting to protect against potential damage from my use(s), I'd certainly want a proper skid over the rear, as...
I think it can also be if you leave another key/remote within the vehicle while trying to lock it with the remote, or try to walk away from the vehicle with it still 'ON'. Haven't counted the beeps, but these two things certainly cause it to beep some number of times.
I waited several years for Toyota to release the 6th Gen so I could finally get away from the 5th Gen's prehistoric drivetrain (the ECU and transmission of which had to have been designed by a summer intern). But once I saw it, I was immediately put off by the pubescent design cues and massive...
I've never seen so many typos and grammatical errors from Toyota as in this exact section of the manual. It contains more errors than all other vehicle manuals I've read combined (including the rest of the LC250 manual), and probably even 5x them. It's like they had a summer intern do the first...
That's a great video that shows exactly what I found about the LC vs the 4Runner I spent 9 years in: the LC always keeps the tires on the ground! And the difference is not small. The 250's stock suspension articulation surprised even this guy, the Aussie King of Offroading; I think that says...
Curious what vehicle led to having your LC250? I’m sure I missed some obvious choices, but here goes…
NOTE: I've added a couple options that I missed (didn't know I could do that!), so if you picked OTHER but had an FJ, Bronco, Subaru or Sequoia, you can go back and change your vote!
[EDIT...
I have FE skid plates, and the rear diff plate cannot yet be ordered anywhere, probably reserved for port usage. Even the YouTuber who hyperbolically put "DAMAGED!" in his title didn't show it. Pet peeve, admittedly, but it sure would be helpful to see where it is most often contacting. I've...
Great, fun review. I wish just one of these YouTubers would crawl underneath afterwards and assess the underside scrapes, see where they were, what they did, etc.
I'm around Golden, but would think that any significant get-together would likely need to pull people from around the Front Range. There are starting to be a few LCs (and GXs) around here, but I'd guess the percentage of owners interested in actual off-roading endeavors is relatively low (would...
