OK, checkin’ in from the Front Range

Maybe organize a trail drive? Anywhere in FR that has the capacity?

I think a meet up for coffee/breakfast is a great idea. When I used to ride trail bikes, the front range guys on Adventure Rider would set meet ups at some diner, like Western Omelete in old Colorado City, O'Brien's Cafe in Sedalia or the cafe up at Wondervu. Then we'd go out and roost around in the dirt.

Which reminds me. Has anyone done any "Pass Bagging?" If you aren't aware, it's just going over out-of-the-way, little travelled passes. I really enjoyed that on a trail bike but am not so experienced in a 4x4. But that's why I bought an LC, so why not?

What area of the front range are you referring to?
I'm around Golden, but would think that any significant get-together would likely need to pull people from around the Front Range. There are starting to be a few LCs (and GXs) around here, but I'd guess the percentage of owners interested in actual off-roading endeavors is relatively low (would be interesting to know the proportion). I'm no snow-wheeler, I have no interest in uncontrollably sliding off a mountain, but maybe over the winter we can start getting a list together of people interested?

Hoping to be able to get some things done with the vehicle before late spring; compressor will be installed by Slee in a few weeks (their first consumer install of the new mount bracket, yikes). Waiting on some winch/bumper options to choose from, as I spend most of my time alone off-road (working), and my last 9 years in a 4Runner was occasionally iffy with only a Hi-Lift. My goal when solo is to never to get stuck, and serious rock-crawling for the sake of rock-crawling is not my thing). I like to go places, and I often wing it in doing so, which occasionally results in a U-turn, sometimes avoiding stuff that I know I could get up, but provides the possibility of failing in a way that I might not be able to recover from alone.

What's everyone else's background and off-road interests in such a list of locals?

I've dipped a toe in the 4X world over the years (mostly other folks' rigs). I'd like to get to some remote spots for hiking, camping and fly fishing next year. Like to do a White Rim trip next year (LC runs sag for MTBs). Much like b407driver, not into rock crawling or 'hold my beer' off-roading. I have to drive this thing to work the next day!

I’m in Cheyenne and depending on location would be up for some trails. Came from a handful of jeeps and plan to do more family adventures this time around. Granted I’ll probably push the cruiser a bit.
