I believe our LC's are rated to tow somewhere around 6,000 lbs.
In the past, I have used my 2 door Jeep Wranglers with 6 Cylinders to pull our boat out of the water and into storage for the Winter and vice/versa in the Spring. Would drive fewer than 5 easy miles.
The dry weight is close to...
I absolutely love the look of this new Land Cruiser. I have a black over black LE w/Prem Pkg.
The one element that has bothered my since seeing even these well-equipped LC's is the unpainted portions of the front and rear bumpers.
The LE LE Edition adds additional painted parts which is a...
I like the idea of a "kick to open" trunk / hatch, however, I have never had it work effectively on my past vehicles that featured that option. Hence, I didn't use it.
Perhaps Toyota has designed this option to work reliably and effectively.
I'm more of a 20" wheel lover as I am not an off-roader, however, I really like the 18's style. I may pick up a set as well to have if I have a need for a luggier (sp?) tire.
I certainly understand that when a nearly new vehicle is listed for sale from the new car dealer after it has been used as a demo vehicle. In fact the dealer typically CPO's it to make it more attractive.
What concerns me is when the vehicle has been run through the auto auction when it is...
I've seen a number of basically brand new vehicles of all makes being run through the auto auction.
I know some unscrupulous new car dealers sell their inventory to themselves to make quotas, however, running a very new vehicle through the auction
seems very peculiar. Especially a higher...
Literally the modus operandi of a Land Cruiser owner.... Jumping on a Greyhound bus to go pick up his newly purchased Land Cruiser.
Love it!
Warm welcome to the fray!!
Agreed. The 5th generation 4Runners had significant rusting/full corrosion of their entire frames--prompting the filing of manufacturing defect lawsuits.
I love it. When I was a kid, my parents' house backed up to a forest. One year, we had an influx of squirrels attacking the siding on the back of the house and doing significant damage.
My dad upgraded my Red Ryder BB Gun to a 1100 Feet Per Second rifle and told me to go to work and eliminate...
Tell your neighbor you are trying to work just a little bit harder so you can afford a new Range Rover and not be stuck with an old embarrassing Toyota.
In all seriousness, rattles on any vehicle are extremely annoying. I have found the price of the vehicle makes no difference when it comes to initial rattles right from the factory. I also anticipate a rattle or two after delivery and they get taken care of by the dealer.
The angry rodent...
This reminds me of the story when a pirate walked into a bar with a steering wheel attached to the front of his pants. One of the bar patrons noticed this and told the pirate about the steering wheel on his pants. The pirate said, "yes, I know. It's been driving me nuts...."
That is how we are in a number of Midwest and mountainous States here.
A lot of people want the Land Cruiser name and certain mountain and snow States require it to get around easily. So the dealers that have Land Cruisers in inventory don't have them for long and they bring a premium. It...
If you have your eye on the '24 1958, make them an offer of what you feel is comfortable and negotiate. You can always go up, but you can't go down. Let us know.
In the Midwest, including even Chicago, there are very, very few LC trims available. The only 2024 LC trims I see were dealer demos and have 2,500 miles or more on them. They are listed at or well above MSRP and selling.
Non Toyota dealers who have somehow got their hands on a low mile...
Thanks for the link. Looks sharp and is made of stainless. Should protect this area well from golf clubs in and out. Don't know why Toyota doesn't offer / have this as standard.
I have a very long driveway. If I open the garage door and put it in reverse all the way up the driveway and into the street without applying the brakes, I have no squeaking brakes. Voila....problem solved.
